11 Design Ideas for Decorating a TV Area
A TV in a mirror window, cabinet, wall, or veneer – we've collected eleven cool design ideas for decorating a TV area
Sometimes a black screen becomes an obstacle: it disrupts the harmony of the interior and draws all attention to itself. For this reason, Russian designers have come up with many ways to harmoniously decorate a TV area. We're telling you about the most interesting ones.
1. Against Wooden Wallpaper
Many recommend placing a TV against photo wallpaper,
but the pattern can distract from watching. The neutral option, which has become a classic,
is wooden wallpaper (veneer). This is what designers at "Studio 3.14" think. This solution
reduces the accent load and diverts attention from the black screen. Also, a wooden background harmonizes well with parquet laid in the "French fir" pattern.

Some designers incorporate the TV into a picture gallery, while Elizaveta Koroshkova decided that the television itself is already an art object. It was placed in a wide white frame. In general, gray matte walls, diluted with symmetrical decorative plaster inserts and bordered with moldings, are a feature of the entire interior, not a special intention for the TV area. But it looks interesting and stylish.

Another way to harmoniously integrate a TV into the interior is to "mask" it. The Samsung The Frame TV, when turned off, looks like a painting:
On the screen you will see canvases of famous artists or your own
photos. Achieving a "painting" effect is helped by various types of frames and
several passepartout modes. Cords won't disrupt the harmony either: the set includes a transparent optical cable.

4. Above the Fireplace
Designer Alesia
Sakhno successfully arranged a TV area above the fireplace: the main elements are done in a unified color palette and stand out clearly against a contrasting wall. In this interior,
the fireplace and TV are in equal positions, which is why the duo looks so
harmonious.

Another stylish and compact solution. Designer Anton Pecheniy knows how to use space effectively. The TV was hidden in the wall, and all the equipment
was placed in a wardrobe located behind the television. However, he had to buy a special remote control since not all standard remotes can penetrate the wall.

The "Black Square" doesn't quite qualify as an art object. To play with this everyday interior detail, designers suggest "hiding" the screen among paintings and photos.
However, modern models can also be a standalone art object. If you buy a special stand, the Samsung The Frame TV, when turned off, looks like a easel with a painting.

7. Against a Brick Wall
One of the popular classic options, just like
wooden wallpaper. It helps highlight the TV area against the overall space. In this interior, a partition made of decorative
brick from Dutch production serves not so much a decorative purpose as a functional one: it separates the kitchen and living room. Under the TV,
designers Elena Nikulina and Olga Chut placed a white horizontal console.

Designer Svetlana Ivanova paid great attention to organizing storage systems. That's why in the living room there appeared a tall cabinet from floor to ceiling, a workspace, and a niche for the TV. Such placement allows using space most rationally.

Another interesting and unconventional way to "hide"
the TV in the interior was invented by designer Natalia Komova. An antique mirror window above the fireplace
hides a niche with the TV and a shelf for equipment. When necessary, the "doors"
open easily and you can watch TV while comfortably settling on the sofa.

A TV on a console, dresser, or shelf – one of the
simplest and most harmonious solutions. This integration will always be relevant, and you'll easily find a place in your favorite interior.

11. Hide in a Cabinet
Katerina Bachurina solved the problem radically.
A large cabinet spanning the entire wall hides not only storage space but also
the TV area. A great solution: when the TV is needed, just open the doors,
and in other times it doesn't clutter up the bedroom space.
