Vintage chic, it seems, never goes out of style — because it's so cozy, unique, and recognizable

The charm of this old wooden house is hard to resist — inside it's so peaceful and warm that you instantly want to settle into one of the chairs with a book. Note that there's no TV in the house, and that's right — it would definitely spoil everything. So the flat screen was tucked under the roof, into the room that serves as a cinema hall here. In other rooms, nothing disrupts the atmosphere of cozy old times.

The house is small, only 170 square meters, but determining its age will be difficult — most likely, it's at least a hundred years old, and its owners clearly updated it quite recently. But they did so very carefully, choosing materials that don't clash with the old ones, avoiding bright colors and flashy combinations.

There are four bedrooms in the house — for every taste. One on the first floor also serves as a library: two open shelves from IKEA provide a link between yesterday and today. A modern desk lamp stands on a rough wooden table with a peeled countertop.

On the second floor — two more bedrooms and a bathroom with a large window and a bathtub on legs. The most cozy one is the fourth, on the veranda, for those who like to wake up with the sun: there are no curtains at the windows here, and the sleeper is sure to be woken up by sunlight.

In a rural cottage, located seemingly in the wilderness, there are quite a few 'strangers' from afar. Three portraits of singer Lina Kavalleri on the kitchen wall – a greeting from Italy, and the word France is visible on the curtains. White color helps bring together items bought at flea markets and brought back from trips, making the interior light, airy, and romantic. And not at all boring, right?
