12 Cleaning Recipes for the Kitchen Without Chemicals
We tell you how to organize order in the kitchen without harming your health
It is not a secret that most cleaning agents and powders can cause allergies and irritation of the skin and respiratory tract. Of course, it is impossible to completely give up household chemicals, but it is worth trying. We share recipes that work.
1. Universal Cleaner: mix salt and vinegar in a sprayer. Or dissolve 4 tablespoons of drinking baking soda in 1 liter of water.
2. To remove limescale in coffee makers or kettles, fill them with white vinegar and leave overnight.
3. For disinfection, use two agents: first, spray the desired area with white or apple cider vinegar, then rinse this area with 3% hydrogen peroxide.

4. To unclog drains, first use a plunger. Then pour 1–2 cups of drinking baking soda into the pipe, and then – ½ cup of white vinegar, close tightly for 1 minute. Repeat after 30 minutes if necessary.
5. Destroy bacteria in the trash bin easily by spraying the walls with a borax solution: ½ cup of borax to 1 liter of water. Borax (sodium tetraborate) can be purchased in a pharmacy or hardware store.
6. To remove odors, grate the peel of oranges, lemons, limes, or grapefruits.

7. For cleaning copper pots, mix lemon juice with drinking baking soda or vinegar with salt. Polish using soft material. Chrome and tin polish with a paste made of drinking baking soda and water. Copper items covered with patina should be boiled in water with 1 tablespoon of salt and 1 cup of vinegar.
Knives made of stainless steel can be simply wiped with undiluted white vinegar. For cleaning silverware, line a pot with foil, fill it with water and add 1 teaspoon of salt. Place the discolored silver items into it and bring to a boil.

8. For cleaning the oven, mix 1 part vinegar with 4 parts water, spray it on a cold oven and wipe with an abrasive sponge. For tough stains, use drinking baking soda.
9. Pots and pans should be wiped with salt and warm water.
10. Sink clean with 2 tablespoons of drinking baking soda mixed with 1 cup of warm water. When necessary, add lemon juice or vinegar to remove grease.

11. Remove unpleasant odors easily: place a small plate with vinegar in the kitchen. Or add cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, or vanilla to a pot of water boiling on low heat.
12. Refresh wooden cabinets and tables with vinegar mixed with olive oil or cosmetic oil for babies.
