5 Rules for Fast Repair
Tips from designer Irina Legotkina on how to do a quick repair
Many people feel their mood deteriorates at the mere thought of a renovation, with images of huge building supply stores, mountains of garbage, and constant dust popping up. But is renovation really that scary? Tips from designer at 'Studio 3.14' Irina Legotkina will help you understand how to speed up the repair process.
1. Start with a plan
It's essential to clearly visualize how the space should look before starting any repair work. It's best to prepare detailed drawings: floor plans before and after renovation, furniture layout plan, electrical and lighting equipment plan, plumbing plan, and wall finishing plan. This is the basic set for the team, ensuring no unnecessary questions or delays.

2. Carefully choose the team
You can use recommendations from friends and family. Try to see completed projects by the team – they tell more than online advertising. Once you've chosen a team, agree on and write down exact timeframes for all stages of the work.
3. Choose materials in advance
You can purchase finishing materials, plumbing fixtures, and lighting fixtures before the construction team starts working. Often, finishing materials like tiles or porcelain stoneware are delivered on order within one to two months. Plan ahead so that workers don't have to wait. Also, buy materials with a small surplus!

4. Use modern equipment
Use modern tools: fast-drying putty, paint, and screed, as well as quick-assemble materials.
Also check if the construction team has professional equipment that can significantly speed up the repair, such as drills, spray guns, and laser measuring tools.
5. Choose standard furniture
You can start selecting furniture shortly before the repair work is completed. Try to use more standard furniture solutions that are easier to implement. Custom-made furniture will take longer to make and the assembly process will also take more time.
