It is possible for anyone, even someone far from construction, to paste wallpaper in an apartment. To make the process easier and faster, we share useful tips.

What do you need to easily update your interior with wallpaper? Thoroughly prepare the walls, choose the right adhesive, and follow the wallpapering technique. We share details.

1. The Main Thing – Start with a Clean Sheet

Those who have ever done apartment renovations themselves know that sometimes removing old wallpaper is not easy at all. If the wallpaper peels off the wall by itself, you're lucky. Otherwise, we recommend trusting new technologies – for example, Quelyd Dissoucol wallpaper removal liquid. Just 10 minutes and a clean wall is before you.

2. Don't Skimp on Primer

Liquid primer for interior wallpaper ensures successful application of the material. With it, you can evenly absorb surface and create an additional layer for the coating to adhere to.

3. Movement – From the Corner

Start wall marking from one of the corners — preferably the most inconvenient one. Light work is better saved for later when fatigue sets in. On the wall, draw a vertical line at a distance equal to the width of the wallpaper strip from the corner — it will serve as a guide for attaching the first strip.

4. Don't Fear Stains

Choose wallpaper adhesive with a colored indicator for monitoring application: first, it's easy to check that the wallpaper is evenly coated.
Secondly, you don't have to worry about stains: QUELYD 'Vinyl-Indicator' adhesive becomes transparent after a few minutes.

5. Match the Pattern in Advance

Matching patterns on wallpaper on the wall is not a pleasant task. It's better to spend time beforehand and cut strips according to ceiling height with a margin of no less than 10 cm. Keep in mind that the larger the pattern, the more scraps will remain. Number each piece on the back side.

6. Use a Flexible Ruler

When it comes to cutting wallpaper, a flexible ruler that can be pressed tightly even against uneven surfaces is invaluable. Another important point: after each cut, you must break off the tip of the blade on the wallpaper knife to keep it sharp at all times. Saving here is not an option.
