How to Use Intuition to Improve Your Home: 5 Tips
Sometimes right at the door we feel that in some room, whether it's a house or office, it's pleasant to be. When we ask the owners how they managed to create such an atmosphere, they answer that they just did everything as they liked. And indeed, many of us intuitively arrange a harmonious space. Expert advice on feng shui from Irina Simakova will help you activate intuition.
Irina Simakova is an expert. Consultant of the Feng Shui Society of Great Britain and Europe (FSS) and the International Feng Shui Forum (MFFSH). She believes that a home is a mirror reflection of a person's life. Everyone can change their life by transforming the space around them. 1. Turn off Logic
The feeling of 'like – dislike' is nothing other than our first reaction to the quality of energy. Among people, this is also called 'chemistry', but with spaces and objects, we also form a certain connection. We all know that color is a type of vibration. Our five senses react to shape, color, texture, size, and placement of objects, causing specific emotions and feelings.

Each person’s feelings can differ, but it's important for everyone to receive positive energies from their space. Don’t try to analyze the state of your home, just ask yourself what irritates you in it, whether you really like everything or something causes discomfort. This will be the first step toward intuitive adjustment.
2. Listen to Your BodyYou might find that in some room, you feel anxiety or, on the contrary, increased activity. Or there's a feeling that the apartment is pulling you in, wrapping you up, and at the end, you don’t even want to go outside. Listen to your body's voice – it never lies and will guide you on what exactly needs to be corrected.
3. Conduct an ExperimentThere is a well-known experiment where people were asked to sit with their back to the entrance or sharp corner, and then switch to sitting with their back against a wall, resisting pressure from a hand pressing on theirs. In the first case, muscle resistance levels were much lower.

This clearly shows how powerful the influence of proper space can be. The most important places are where we spend the most time: bedroom, children's room, living room, office, and sometimes kitchen. Ensure nothing in these spaces causes you discomfort.
4. Trust Your DesiresGood feng shui is like a suit tailored to order. There are no identical solutions because everything depends on the person and their characteristics. We have favorite and disliked colors, we might like an abundance of textiles in interior design or, conversely, cool and smooth surfaces.

There is no ready-made recipe for a harmonious home or office. Even ceiling beams or sharp angles are felt differently by each person due to varying sensitivity thresholds. Therefore, don’t rush to follow all recommendations exactly. Allow your individuality to try everything on and make your own choice.
5. Try to See Your Home from the OutsideIt’s hard to critically look at your own home. You can slightly cheat and photograph your house, office, or even the entrance and hallway. Take many shots from different angles and with varying lighting. You will likely notice things you didn’t see before.

There is another wonderful exercise that will help you understand your feelings about each room. Lay out the floor plan of your apartment or office so that you can walk inside it. Close your eyes and slowly move through the plan, listening to your feelings. One client, for example, felt that in the bedroom area, her breath was being squeezed and anxiety arose. Treat this check as a game, but remember that it may yield serious results.
