How to Hide Laundry, Cat Litter Box, and Other Household Items from View
Modern interiors are functional, filled with various appliances and electronics. You have to find new ways to hide large appliances, mask cables, and locate secluded spots for placing household items. We have prepared 10 tips for creating a comfortable living space without compromising on design.
1. Camouflage the Television
It's hard to imagine a modern interior without a television. However, it's not always easy to incorporate one into many stylistic concepts. The solution is to choose a model in the color of the wall, mask it, for example, as a framed picture or set up a separate home cinema room with TV, video, and audio equipment. Alternatively, you can make the TV part of a decorative wall composition – for example, by placing photos, drawings, or posters around it.

2. Hide the Refrigerator
Not every interior style suits a refrigerator. The solution is built-in models and various ways of "camouflaging": painting (including with chalk paint), covering with special films.

3. Hide the Washing Machine
An old, unattractive washing machine can be hidden behind facades, curtains, or placed inside a cabinet. However, it's better to choose a beautiful and stylish model – many modern appliances can become a decoration in your home.

4. Keep the Cat Litter Box Out of Sight
Owners of cats and kittens have to solve the issue of aesthetically placing the litter box in the interior. One option is to hide it in a special cabinet or buy a ready-made "house" for this purpose.

5. Organize Mobile Device Chargers
We are sure that in your home there is more than one charging cable. Phones, tablets, laptops and other gadgets require periodic recharging, and cables often create a sense of chaos if not organized in a special place. For example, hide the power strip on a separate shelf.

6. What About the Radiator?
An unattractive heating radiator can ruin any interior. To prevent this, choose a stylish designer radiator or, as an alternative, cover the existing one with a special screen.

7. Store the Ironing Board in a Cabinet
It is quite difficult to live without an ironing board at home – even more so to find a convenient and neat place for it. Provide space for it in a wardrobe-closet or on hooks in the closet, pantry, or utility cabinet. An interesting solution is to hide the ironing board behind a mirror or picture.

8. Choose Stylish Outlets and Switches
Such seemingly unnoticeable household items as outlets and switches also require your attention. There is no need to make them invisible by matching the wall color: modern manufacturers offer stylish models that can become a highlight of the interior.

9. Organize Cables
Today there are many ways to "organize" numerous cables and give them an aesthetic appearance: from clamps and fasteners to special boxes. But there is also an unusual solution – make cables part of the decor by integrating them into the interior in a creative way.

10. Plan Storage Systems
Any interior is first and foremost a space for living. That means somewhere you need to store grains and spices, shoes and bags, clothes and bath accessories. The pinnacle of skill is making storage part of the decor. Use various rails, transparent containers, open shelves, and racks for this purpose.

For everything you want to hide from view, baskets, boxes, trinket boxes, and organizers are suitable. For convenience, you can label them indicating where each item is stored.
