The space should live and breathe freely, and light should penetrate into your apartment without any obstacles! Moving around the apartment should be very convenient and easy. Minimize the number of partitions and furniture. Divide the space into zones using partitions that do not 'eat up' the space.

2. Natural Materials in Finishing

Eco-style implies the use of non-toxic materials, paints, plaster, varnishes, and furniture. If you support the idea of an eco-friendly interior, use only natural and texture-wise similar to natural materials in finishing. 

3. Furniture Made of Natural Materials

Avoid furniture made from MDF or particle board: they use resins containing formaldehyde during production. A large portion of harmful substances for human health come from the first six months after purchasing such furniture, but even after that, toxic substances continue to be emitted, especially in hot weather or during winter heating season. 

For textile coverings, it's best to use natural wool, cotton, linen, jute. Synthetic fibers are not suitable for you – they are often treated with synthetic and chemical substances to reduce flammability.

4. Light Colors

Light color palette will give you a feeling of lightness in the space and highlight natural materials. Beige, green, blue, white, sunny yellow, gray – these are the main colors of this style. Choose shades found in nature and use them in your home.

5. Plants as Decoration

The more indoor plants you use in the interior, the more eco-friendly it looks. Plants can be used for zoning space, they make the home cozier and help hide some interior flaws. But their main task is to delight us, charge us with positive energy. A person who has flowers at home becomes more caring, as they develop a habit of tending to something alive.
