Wall as Organizer: 4 Interesting Finishing Options
They say that homes and walls help. Modern finishing options reinforce this saying: walls help you sketch future plans, compose holiday meal menus, and raise children.
Andrey Sokolov tells about four types of finishing that can turn any wall into a cookbook for recipes, a sketchbook, or an organizer.
Andrey SokolovDesignerOwner of the company "Aidos-Design", loves using complex wall finishing techniques and turning the client's home into a "smart" one.
1. Graphite Paint
Graphite paint is no longer a novelty; it has long proven itself as a durable, wear-resistant, and moisture-proof coating. The paint easily adheres to prepared wall surfaces, as well as glass, wood, metal, and plastic. It is easy to clean with dry or damp fabric.
The most common color is black, which is more familiar and makes text and drawings in various colors of chalk clearly visible. There is also green and blue paint, and perhaps for some interiors it might be more suitable.

Graphite paint can be used in all rooms: in a home office, it creates a productive atmosphere and positive mood, where you can write down current goals and tasks, good ideas to remember, and wise thoughts that prevent despair when things don’t go as planned.

On a kitchen, you can paint part of the wall, refrigerator, or furniture fragment with graphite paint for culinary recipes, a shopping list, and greetings to family members in the morning. It’s also good to write daily on a chalkboard: "I love you!" This helps avoid many problems.
Limitation of use: Graphite paint should not be applied near a stove, as it is not resistant to fat and oil.

Surprisingly, in a bathroom, chalkboard paint is also appropriate: on a black background, the sanitaryware looks absolutely white, and kind words in a relaxing setting uplift the mood even more.

In a child's room, a chalkboard surface gives a child some happiness: imagine drawing on walls is not forbidden! Moreover, you can even draw together with the child, and who knows whose joy will be greater.

2. Magnetic Paint
Magnetic paint contains fine metal particles and, after applying several layers, gives the surface the property of holding magnets. Any notes, drawings, posters, or magazine cutouts can be attached to the wall and changed whenever desired!
Limitation of use: Magnetic paint can be covered with wallpaper, but keep in mind that the heavier the item you want to hold on the wall, the thicker the paint layer should be.

3. Marker Paint
Marker paint is a two-component acrylic material that is environmentally safe, applied to any flat and prepared surface of walls or furniture. It can be white or transparent. Transparent is convenient to use in already finished interiors (without repainting walls or furniture).
On a wall painted with marker paint, you can draw with a felt-tip pen. Such a coating is often used in children's rooms. It helps create a space for creativity, inspiration, and imagination development.

4. And Now – All at Once!
Combining magnetic and marker paint, or magnetic and graphite paint, creates a magical effect: on such a surface you can draw and attach ready-made drawings or magazine cutouts. It is believed that this helps plan the future: you attach an image of a place where you want to be in five years and move toward that goal step by step.
