How to Decorate a Country House: A New Idea You Will Love
The owner of this cozy cottage is a Swedish journalist, blogger and decorator Anna Trueelsen. Together with her husband, she bought a small country house from the 1930s and then transformed it into modern stylish living. The color palette chosen is quite simple, and the style combines traditional Scandinavian interior features with countryside motifs. Despite this apparent simplicity, the setting has its own unique touches and interesting finds.

What makes the interior not boring? Primarily, textures: wicker baskets and chair seats, natural wood, fur and textile throws, clay pots and linen decorative pillowcases.
Significantly contributing to the mood of the interior is the combination of incompatible elements: rough, minimally processed wood sits next to brass candlesticks, and mirrors with worn frames are paired with designer lamps.

Abundance of white in the interior is balanced by black furniture pieces, textiles with various stripes add graphic impact to the setting, and natural materials bring warmth.
Unusual decor techniques add a special touch: several mirrors on the living room wall, a wooden bead wall hanging above the sofa, whimsical indoor plants literally in all rooms of the house (including the bathroom!), and an accent wall made from barn boards in the bedroom.
