Why put charcoal in the refrigerator, why paper towels are more effective than cloths, and how to save on cleaning products – we've gathered the best ideas for fast and effective home cleaning

House cleaning is not the most pleasant task. It can take an entire day or even a whole weekend. To make your life easier and simplify home cleaning, we've collected useful life hacks: now removing limescale and getting rid of dust is no longer a problem.

1. Smart Choice

Replace the cloth you use to wipe dust with a pack of paper towels. This is more hygienic and much more effective: you won't have to wash the cloth before each cleaning.

2. Economical Approach

You can remove grease from kitchen appliances, clean the cooktop, and tile in the bathroom using apple cider vinegar solution. Additionally, vinegar helps remove cat hair – just add some vinegar to the water for mopping floors.

3. Complete Order

Regular activated charcoal can eliminate unnecessary cleaning and airing of the refrigerator. It will absorb odors, keeping the interior fresh. To free up space in the fridge and ease cleaning, store food in containers.

By the way, fruits and vegetables will stay fresh longer if stored wrapped in paper towels rather than plastic bags.

4. The Cleaning Expert

Can't remove limescale from the stove? It's easy to solve: soak the stove in a cleaning solution containing ammonia overnight. The next morning, there won't be a trace of limescale left.

5. For the Little Ones

For cleaning hard-to-reach places like corners, grooves, and slots in plumbing fixtures, appliances, and containers, use an old toothbrush. You can also replace the cleaning agent with a soap solution that is just as effective.

6. Against Dust

Spray anti-static on screens and back surfaces of household appliances and TVs, wiping them with paper towels. This way, ten times less dust will settle on them.

7. Starting Fresh

Paper towels can also be used to clean mirrors and glass surfaces. If you run out of cleaning solution, make your own: you'll need warm water and four tablespoons of baking soda.

8. An Hour of Cleaning

You can remove limescale from faucets or showerheads using vinegar. Pour it into a bag and secure it with a rubber band on the showerhead. Within an hour, the limescale will disappear completely.

9. Like New

Removing dust from lampshades is not an easy task. A sticky roller for collecting fur can help solve this: it quickly and effectively removes dust from the surface of the lampshade. You'll just need to wipe the lampshade with a paper towel afterward.

10. Minimal Effort

Use your time wisely: in the morning, pour cleaning liquid into the toilet bowl and in the evening go over the walls with a brush. You can do the same with laundry – soak clothes and leave them overnight.
