NC Clinic by Onur Karadeniz Architects
The project was commissioned by a well-known doctor and intended for use as a clinic, educational center, and office. The space was originally used as an architectural office with an open layout without walls. The client requested to divide the interior space into two offices, a photo studio, meeting room, and three operating rooms. As such, the open layout was divided into three sections arranged around the entrance hall. On the right are offices; at the back are common facilities, and on the left are clinical rooms.

A curved space was created to hide the corners of the rectangular office and convey an atmospheric feeling that sparks curiosity in users and alters their perception of actual space. These curved corridors and their entrances are designed so that no one can walk straight in front of a room door without necessity. Thus, the space itself guides users directly, without hesitation or questions from the client, creating a sense of security in the clinic.

A secondary triangular shell was designed and overlapped with circular walls, creating tension and interrupting the monotony of verticality. These circular and triangular surfaces extend through the ceiling, forming a monolithic and cut-out space. This helps integrate diffused lighting, breaking traditional visual perspective.
