About the layout

At the beginning of the project, this was a "concrete box" with an open layout and dedicated wet zones. The apartment has three windows, which determined the placement of walls. As a result, it was possible to arrange a bedroom, children's room, kitchen-living room with a workspace, entrance area, two bathrooms, and a laundry room.

About the kitchen-living room

Light paint was chosen for wall finishing, which gives the interior freshness and lightness. Black graphic moldings were installed along the perimeter of the walls, creating a stylish contrast. Parquet with a warm wood texture was laid on the floor.

To make the kitchen-living room look cozier and more like a living room, the decision was made to forgo upper cabinets in the kitchen unit. A gypsum board box was designed for the exhaust hood and painted to match the wall color. An unconventional solution—TV mounted above the work surface. According to the owner, this turned out very convenient since the sofa is placed opposite it. Additionally, placing the TV in this way allows enjoying favorite shows and movies while cooking.

A round dining table was complemented by restored chairs from the mid-20th century. A large modular sofa is provided for relaxation in the living room. Above it is a unique tapestry that previously decorated the dining room wall at Ivanovskaya textile factory. A vibrant vintage rug serves as a striking accent that visually highlights the relaxation area.

For Nadia, finding a workspace outside the bedroom was important. Initially, it was even considered to abandon the sofa to place a mini-cabinet in its place. In the end, a compact workspace was arranged in a niche, providing everything necessary for comfortable and convenient work.

About the bedroom

This room is designated solely for sleep, so it contains only the essentials: a bed and a bookshelf. A vintage lamp emits beautiful reflections, filling the space with warm and cozy light and creating a unique atmosphere. Storage is organized in a niche, where standard IKEA fittings were built-in, and the fronts were custom-made in a carpentry workshop.

The interior’s highlight is high doors with glass panels. They serve as a stylish accent, emphasizing the elegance and modernity of the design.

About the entrance hall

Walls were omitted in the entrance area to preserve visual spaciousness and airiness. Practical ceramic granite was used for flooring here. Clothes are stored in a wardrobe behind a cozy textile curtain. A vintage mirror was the first item bought for this apartment. It defined the concept and graphic details of the interior.

About the laundry room

A separate room was allocated for the laundry area. It contains a sink, a second toilet, a washing machine with a drying function, a cabinet for household items and cleaning supplies, and a clothes dryer.

About the bathroom

The bathroom is only 3.9 square meters, yet all necessary items were accommodated: a full-size bathtub, installation, sink, and storage cabinets. Wall finishing used a mix of ceramic granite, tiles, and paint. Instead of curtains, a functional glass partition was installed to prevent moisture from entering and to look visually light.
