Fusion Originals Makes Debut in Saigon
HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM (July 5, 2022) – Vietnam's most renowned hotel group presents its latest accommodation experience.
The first Fusion Originals, Fusion Original Saigon Centre, will welcome guests starting July 2022. Located in Saigon Centre, atop the Takashimaya shopping complex, these 99 unique rooms span 10 floors in one of the city's largest and trendiest mixed-use developments. With panoramic views of District 1, this property sits at the heart of Ho Chi Minh City's vibrant commercial and tourist district.

Fusion Original Saigon Centre offers a playful, youthful atmosphere with bold design and fantastical artworks. Vibrant walls adorned with paintings of women in traditional ao dai span the entire floor in public areas.
Miss Thu restaurant also embodies local culture with a ceiling design reminiscent of iconic Vietnamese headwear and wall lighting evoking traditional drums. With access to an outdoor pool on the sixth floor, guests can relax in the garden. For quiet moments, The Nest guest lounge provides a secluded spot to unwind on plush sofas.
"Modern travelers want to connect with a story; they want to feel part of a unique place narrative," said Kevin Bower, General Manager of Fusion Hotels. "Traditionally, guests found experiences outside where they stayed. With Fusion Originals, there is an experience in your stay. Saigon has many local attractions; Fusion Originals is now one of them."

Fusion has big plans for Fusion Originals and is currently exploring several locations across the country. Like the first Saigon Center property, these Fusion Originals will be designed to convey local fashion and culture, highlighting pioneers and innovators who pushed boundaries in their respective fields.
"The opening of Fusion Original Saigon Centre is an excellent example of our company’s full integration capabilities as a fully integrated platform. It demonstrates our internal strengths in brand creation, project development, hotel operations, and investment activities. We plan to aggressively develop the Fusion Originals brand as well as other portfolio brands and investment initiatives as tourism markets in Vietnam and Southeast Asia recover," shared Christopher Her, President of Lodgis.
The high level of service remains top-notch in Fusion Originals, but standardization stops there. The core principle of the new brand is that no two properties will look alike. Each will have its own unique identity and be distinctive. They will be original.

Fusion is one of eight brands now part of the Fusion group. The rapidly growing hotel group also recently added Thailand's GLOW hotels and resorts to its collection, expanding regional presence. With this new opening in Saigon and acquisition of GLOW, Fusion now has over 4000 rooms in Vietnam and Thailand.
"With our expanding brand portfolio, including diverse properties across many top tour operators in Vietnam and Thailand, we are confident that we can meet the growing needs and desires of a broader audience of travelers," said Peter Meyer, General Manager of Lodgis. "This is especially important during the recovery period following the pandemic when travelers are seeking more unique and inspiring journeys."
