Elegant Atmosphere of a Country House in Madrid

The current owners were looking for a bright house where they could immediately enjoy the feeling of vacation upon entering. Therefore, designers wanted to play with curves and lighting integrated into partitions reminiscent of housing projects developed on Formentere; that is why an elegant detail was added. When they bought it, the house was very dark and not particularly spacious; it was necessary to optimize natural light penetration, so spaces were made independent using resources that do not obstruct the passage of light from any point in the house; thus, the kitchen, dining room, hall and living room visually share one space, although they are completely separated due to differences in ceilings and other elements.

The garden was a key element during the development of the interior design project. Pati decided to 'include' it in the house: with it, she wanted to add depth and provide the natural vegetation she desired. To do this, as well as highlight it, full-height windows were installed and the same interior floor surface was used outdoors to visually integrate the garden into the house as if they were its continuation.

Inside, they wanted to achieve maximum space and be able to see the outside view from any point in the house, so each room was decorated using such resources as ceiling changes, lighting, textures, unique elements and reconstructed wooden lattice to support the interior architect. The task was accomplished! Work that owners appreciate since the house became their dream home, which they had never imagined living in such a beautiful place, is done with full satisfaction.
