GETIR Head Office by URBANJOBS — Flexible and Innovative Workspace in Istanbul

The GETIR head office, designed by URBANJOBS, spans 1600 m² in Istanbul and is a bold statement in office space design. One of the fastest-growing startups globally, GETIR sought an office that would reflect its youthful, dynamic, and innovative spirit.

Village Square — A New Type of Workspace

About 350 m² of office space was dedicated to the 'Village Square,' with 110 m² transformed into a raised platform. Designed as a flexible gathering zone, it hosts meetings, pilates sessions, concerts, and social events.

Key features:

• Removable sofas, positioned on the platform for modular arrangements

• Suspended chairs, hanging from a six-meter steel profile, designed for reliability and safety

• Seating capacity of over 100 places, fostering engagement across the entire company

• Dynamic lighting and projection systems, enabling smooth transitions from work sessions to presentations or evening events

The result is a transformative environment, seamlessly adapting from daytime collaboration to evening community events.

Transparency and Collaboration

A unique challenge was to balance transparency between founders and employees, while maintaining confidentiality when needed. The Village Square achieves this by promoting non-hierarchical interaction, reinforcing GETIR's culture of openness.

Employee feedback highlights increased efficiency, faster collaboration, and stronger team cohesion — a workplace where 'people find each other easily without losing time'.

Brand, Materiality and Color

Unlike the expected violet and yellow brand colors of GETIR, URBANJOBS intentionally used a neutral palette of black, white and grey throughout all spaces, reserving color exclusively for the Village Square.

This choice reflects the company's philosophy of creating identity through space and functionality, rather than explicit branding. Wet zones are furnished with unexpected color solutions that break monotony and keep the head office playful yet refined.

Workspace for Work and Play

The Village Square serves multiple functions beyond work:

• Daytime gatherings, with projection screens and reconfigurable seating

• After-work events, such as pilates classes, concerts and Friday happy hours

• A constantly evolving atmosphere shaped by lighting, layout and programming

This flexibility ensures that the head office becomes more than just an office — it's a community hub for GETIR’s rapidly growing team.

URBANJOBS began with visiting GETIR stores, to better understand the company culture — from order placement to delivery. These practical insights translated into the head office, capturing the essence of speed, accessibility and dynamism that underpins the brand.
