This studio from Anna Nikolaeva's project is located in a historic building that has undergone reconstruction. The apartment is intended for rental, so on an area of 23 sq.m it was important to solve several tasks: organize effective storage, create an attractive image for tenants, ensure functionality and rationally use the budget. We show cool solutions from this project that are definitely worth your attention.

With ceiling heights of 3.4 m, an attic was created where the private bedroom was moved. This solution helped organize the common area on the lower level, dividing main life scenarios in space.

The staircase to the second level serves as a large wardrobe, with each door hiding shelves and rails for storage. This allows efficient use of limited space and maintains order in the studio.

To avoid feeling cramped, minimal bulky furniture was used. This approach allowed preserving air in the space.

To hide heating pipes and radiators, a false wall was installed. Radiators are covered with decorative screens, and special access is provided for risers.

Deep window sills became an excellent place for additional seating areas. This solution adds functionality and provides the opportunity to enjoy views of one of St. Petersburg's central streets while relaxing with a cup of coffee.

To create a memorable image and zone the space, we used a reddish color. For example, the entryway area is separated by this tone from the common space, visually creating a separate room. The kitchen zone is also highlighted with accent ceramic tile.

The washing machine is placed under the sink, saving space for storage. The countertop with sink and cabinet fits perfectly into the interior without reducing usable space.

A sliding glass partition is installed in the shower, saving space in a compact bathroom compared to a hinged system.

The project uses both custom-made and ready-made items. About 70% of elements are custom-made, while furniture facades were made from particle board to optimize the budget. Due to high requirements in wet zones, the facades' edges are treated with PUR adhesive.

As a result of implemented solutions, the small studio space was efficiently optimized to ensure functionality and comfort. Every element was carefully planned to maximize available area and create a feeling of freedom, which is especially important in limited spaces.
