Idea for a 2-room apartment: moved the bathroom to the kitchen and it turned out great

Designer Anastasia Potapova created a unique interior based on a global reconfiguration of a 59 sq. m. two-room apartment. One of the key elements of the project was moving the bathroom to the kitchen area — thus fulfilling the client's dream of a spacious bathroom as a cozy and comfortable place for relaxation.

The apartment is located in a renovated Moscow house on the second floor. Below it are commercial premises, so such reconfiguration complies with regulations.

Advantages of the new solution:

• Creating a bright and spacious bathroom.
• Ability to install a window with a view of the street, filling the space with natural light.
• Improving the ergonomics of the apartment by optimally using the area.

Combination of various finishing materials creates a unique atmosphere. Part of the walls is painted in a natural green shade, adding freshness and lightness. The other part is clad with handmade tiles designed specifically for this project. A special highlight is the accent wall, partially left in brick. For additional effect, it is illuminated, creating an attractive and comfortable atmosphere.

• Bathroom by the window: one of the main wishes of the client was realized, creating a cozy atmosphere.
• Chandelier: specially designed for this project. Swarovski crystals add elegance, creating a play of light.
• Retro plumbing fixtures: bring elements of vintage charm and allure to the interior.
• Tall cabinets: made from natural wood, providing enough storage space for accessories.
• Weaved baskets: stylish solutions for storing cosmetics and accessories that harmoniously fit into the overall design.
