Capture a dose of inspiration for your interior

This 40 sq. m one-room apartment was arranged by designer Natalia Kalentyeva for a young woman who travels frequently. The main task was to create a cozy, bright space with a separate bedroom, a reading nook, and accommodate numerous items brought back from her travels. We showcase great ideas from the project that deserve your attention.

Walls in all rooms (except the bathroom) were covered with regular plaster — a spatula was used to create a texture on the surface, and then they were painted with white paint. This is a stylish and practical solution — the house is new, and micro-cracks are inevitable over time, but textured walls are easier to adjust.

An accent in the kitchen area — an original-looking exhaust fan. In reality, it is a standard model hidden inside a gypsum board box. The box was also finished with plaster and painted.

The apartment contains items that the designer made herself specifically for this project. For example, during a walk in the forest, she found an unusual log resembling a stork. It was treated and coated with lacquer, and now it is an art object in the dining area, standing on a table lamp base.

At the client's request, a separate bedroom was created in the apartment using a partition between the bedroom and living room. Part of the partition was built with glass blocks. This allowed more light into the apartment and added a stylish accent.

Textured plaster, smooth glass blocks, soft textiles on the sofa, and a wooden log side table — a combination of different textures in one room makes it cozier. This solution unifies visual and tactile perception into a single image of a comfortable living room where it's pleasant to be.

The client requested a spot for relaxation and reading. A place was found on the balcony. A stylish black armchair, a floor lamp, a book console, and a tactile rug — here it's easy to relax, read, and admire the city landscape.
