Get inspired and take them for yourself!

Alongside her husband, our heroine Julia purchased a two-bedroom apartment in the historic center of St. Petersburg. From a "killed" Stalin-era building, she transformed it into an impressive space filled with many interesting touches.

The bathroom here deserves to be called a work of art: everything is thought out down to the smallest detail, the design is bold and vibrant yet there's no visual clutter. Julia shared secrets for decorating a bathroom — take them to heart!

Two Sinks

Julia and her husband live in the same routine, so they decided to install two sinks — one of the best ideas during their renovation. It's incredibly convenient: even when both of them come home from the street, there’s no queue at the sinks — each can calmly wash their hands. Julia recommends this trick even for couples who have different schedules.

Large Letters

A great idea is to decorate tiles or the shower area with a slogan. The letters can be ordered on AliExpress. Julia pondered for a long time about what to write, but the most genius idea was simple. What needs to be done in the shower? Undress. Hence, the phrase "get naked" appeared in English on the wall. The letters are self-adhesive and were ordered from AliExpress.

Posters

Thematic posters can beautify any interior and make it unique. In the laundry room, Julia added posters with symbols and signs related to washing and drying, as well as hung large, expensive black frames — it looked stylish and vibrant.

Funny Handles on Furniture

Any furniture can have its hardware replaced with unique options. For example, Julia replaced the handles on a regular IKEA drawer with custom ones (purchased from OZON).

Artificial or Real Plants

It might seem like the bathroom is the last place in a home where flowers would be placed. Since our heroine and her husband often travel, they don’t have many living plants. But they added artificial flowers to the bathroom — they look organic and green always looks nice.

Cattoe on the Bathroom Door

Our heroine has already installed this in her second apartment: a "cat door" (котоход) is sold in all pet stores and on marketplaces. For owners of pets, it's a true blessing: the door can be shut, but the cat decides when to enter the bathroom — no tantrums. Any handyman can install a cat door even in a door that’s already been installed.

They come in various sizes. A wall-mounted dryer is a practical item. It can be mounted anywhere, it closes up and is barely visible. Plus, the dryer doesn’t take up space like large metal counterparts that also block all the legs.
