Small Kitchen with Bold Details in a Khrushchyovka

This stylish and bright kitchen was designed by Daria Nazarenko in a standard one-room Khrushchyovka with an area of 28 sq. m. During the re-planning, a wall between the kitchen and the living room was demolished. "We were lucky: the space is elongated along the facade rather than deep into the house. Thanks to this, we were able to place the kitchen-living room in the brightest part," explains the designer.

The kitchen cabinet was installed linearly — this is IKEA. The countertop was chosen white artificial stone with small borders. They opted for an open shelf instead of upper cabinets to make the space look lighter and more airy.

The gas pipe was painted to match brass, and wall sconces were chosen with a similar tone.

Vibrant orange tiles are one of the highlights of this kitchen. Pay attention to the layout — it's unique and eye-catching.

For wall finishing, washable paint was used: practical and convenient in daily use. The floor has a uniform covering — parquet planks of various colors, which looks striking.

The interior is based on white and graphite colors. They accentuate the geometry of the space, but at the same time serve as a base, so they won't get old-fashioned. With these colors, it's easy to use decor in various shades — for example, in this interior, the accent colors are an orange kitchen apron, a sofa, and an emerald green painting.
