How to Add Style and Sophistication to Interior: 6 Tips from a Designer
Want to visually add luxury to your interior? Follow the pro's tips
Creating a proper impression from an interior, adding nobility and style is one of the tasks for a designer. Elena Markina helped clients renovate a 84.4 sq. m three-bedroom apartment in a Stalin-era building, which looks much more expensive due to the design techniques used. We tell you more in detail.
One of the details that devalue a kitchen is the seams on the countertop. They are hard to avoid, especially if it's angular. In this kitchen, the designer decided to eliminate the corner by integrating a built-in oven cabinet. This way symmetry was achieved with the ventilation shaft casing, and the countertop was divided into several parts that could be placed without joints.
Decorator Panel for RadiatorIf the concept is based on classical interior style, modern radiators often clash with it. A decorative panel is exactly the trick that helps avoid discordance.
Built-in Shelves and CabinetsYou can create a feeling of integration even with regular freestanding shelves and cabinets. For this, the box structure should be planned during the rough work phase to be located above the furniture.

Or as in the case of the TV area — it's necessary to know the dimensions of the furniture in advance and plan a niche for them.
Combination of Heavy and Light ItemsA large sofa in heavy fabric like velvet adds glamour and prestige to an interior. At the same time, a table with glass surfaces looks weightless and does not overload the space.
Mirrored Wall PanelA mirrored panel by itself is not significantly more expensive than some panels. What is the effect? Agree, mirrors are about luxury, self-confidence and status. Therefore, an interior with mirrors is definitely not simple.
Details That Make an InteriorYou can simply put a throw on the bed and hang curtains at the entrance to the wardrobe. But you can also add a beautiful decorative throw, a couple of pillows made from quality fabric, decorate the curtains with an elegant brush — and now you have a more luxurious interior.
