Transformed a Concrete Box into a 31 m² Studio for a Young Woman

This apartment was rented by a young designer girl. She asked interior design specialist Anastasia Lappo to create a maximally practical interior with a sleeping area and storage system.

The original layout was not changed, but the space was zoned using a metal partition with glass. This allowed creating a full kitchen-living room and bedroom.

The corridor wardrobe provides space not only for clothes, but also for an iron and ironing board, as well as a vacuum cleaner.

Cabinets and the kitchen were custom-made. Additionally, upper cabinets were provided for items used infrequently.

Water heater was hidden above the built-in refrigerator. The oven and microwave were also placed in the cabinet — the sockets for the kettle and coffee machine are located there too.

Given the task to make full use of available space, they didn’t sacrifice ceiling height or opt for ready-made furniture.

The first item bought for the apartment was a sofa, around which the surrounding decor was arranged.

The floor was tiled with quartz vinyl, the walls were covered with anti-vandalism wallpaper for painting, and the color was only applied to the headboard area of the bed.
