Take note of interior design tips to make your home cozier

Many are discouraged by gray days in a harsh climate and daily routine. Since good mood starts with surrounding details, we decided to give you a touch of designer inspiration. Today we look at an impressive renovation with re-planning by Pavel Foteev, who turned a standard dump in a Khrushchyovka into a spacious studio by his own hands.

Features of the re-planning

A three-room apartment with a standard cramped layout is located in an old building on the fourth floor and does not have much space, only 54.8 sq.m. Therefore, one of the design tasks was to expand the space.

Pavel decided to combine the living room with the kitchen and hallway and zone a spacious studio. The room immediately became brighter and more spacious. This effect was achieved not only by removing unnecessary partitions but also using white as the base for finishing and large structural elements.

Aesthetics in Details

To create a cozy and stylish home, it was important to get rid of tasteless outdated items. The highlight of the renovation was updating old furniture and parquet. Pavel played on classic details and used them as the basis of the new design: restored solid fir parquet and vintage family wardrobe. The hallway became welcoming and elegant.

Right behind the wardrobe, which helps zone the hallway space, a creative workspace was set up (on the main photo). To the left goes the door to the bedroom, designed in a consistent style with the main interior.

Special charm is added to the apartment by a cozy rest corner near the balcony. Thanks to antique-style clocks, euroshelves instead of curtains and a magnificent view onto the kitchen area with latticed lights and plates, peace and warmth reign here.

Did not forget to arrange the balcony either, where a compact coffee table and a couple of chairs were moved for enjoying the luxurious landscape. Excellent example of how to use every millimeter with soul. In addition, the whole apartment is decorated with houseplants that breathe life and cleanliness into lifeless walls.

Ergonomics and Lightness

To make the kitchen more spacious, Pavel removed two walls that were not load-bearing. Between the living room and the kitchen (in place of one of the former walls), he moved a dining group with a solid wooden table. The dining table on carved legs looks expensive and harmonizes with the inter-room arch and other design elements. The kitchen sill was enlarged by the master to turn it into a breakfast counter and comfortable workspace. After all, from the apartment windows opens a picturesque green view that maintains an atmosphere of lightness and ease in the interior.

Neat Bathroom

Transforming a cramped Soviet bathroom into a clean and comfortable place can be difficult. For space-saving, Pavel chose neat installed toilet, shower cabin, and minimalist furniture in white tones.
