Cool interiors from our heroes' projects

Black color is associated with many stereotypes. It is believed that it suppresses, consumes natural light and visually reduces space. Although black kitchens and bathrooms are gradually becoming a trend, bedrooms in dark shades are still called a bold experiment.

We decided to collect interiors that will prove that black bedrooms can be beautiful, convenient and cozy. The key is to place the accents correctly.

In this house lives a family with a child and a dog. The building is located in a forest area, so the basis of the project was unity with nature. Designer Yana Gromova's team succeeded in creating a comfortable space, highlighting the architecture and demonstrating great solutions.

Thus, the bedroom appeared in an unconventional color scheme — black and gray colors blend beautifully with dark wood tones. Another interesting move is the darkened glass in the headboard with perimeter lighting, which reflects light and creates a sense of depth. Thick curtains ensure a good night's sleep.

Designer Alexandra Parmont has worked with clients before, so she understood their preferences well. The result of the work is impressive: in the apartment, full opposites coexist — minimalist spaces with brutal accents and light contemporary classicism.

Special attention deserves the bedroom: the rest zone was decorated in dark tones, which the apartment owners love very much. The couple enjoys spending time in a space reminiscent of a cozy cocoon, where numerous lighting scenarios and pleasant textures are provided. Decorative plaster with a suede effect was used for finishing, and silk effect was chosen for the entrance area. The laminated MDF panel also fitted perfectly into the interior.

The owner of this apartment is a versatile girl who sings, plays piano and does yoga, and also enjoys studying languages and traveling. There were no partitions in the space, so designer Elena Musychenko decided to make a modern and functional two-room apartment with dining area, TV zone and an incredible bedroom.

Dark shades were used for the bedroom decoration, which were softened with an accent wooden wall behind the headboard. The contrast of tones and textures refreshed the room and allowed it to play with new colors. Care was taken not only for beauty but also for comfort — here there are many storage spaces, and all wardrobes were custom-made to create a sense of unity in the space.

They took the sakura palette as a basis. The dark bedroom area contrasts with a soft pink tone: the bed is placed on a platform, where additional storage spaces were planned — sliding drawers and hatches by the headboard. The headboard itself was custom-made from soft pink fabric.

Interior stylist Anna Furbaken decorated a compact two-room apartment in Goteborg. The specialist tried to arrange free space and design a comfortable layout, and didn't hesitate to use black color for the bedroom.

The walls of the room were painted black to achieve a stylish semi-darkness. This effect was also achieved using bed linen, table lamps and a carpet in matching colors with the walls. Dark tones were softened with built-in wardrobes and white space above them — there is an additional sleeping place there.

Designers from Carmine Home created a great interior in a spacious apartment. The owner is a former athlete who now teaches sculpture at college. The client specified several wishes: decorate the bedroom with an adjacent bathroom and guest room for her adult son. All requests were taken into account — the apartment was divided into two parts, placing the kitchen-living room and two living rooms.

The bedroom was joined with the bathroom, and different textured materials were used for finishing. Beautiful wooden panels with backlighting were installed behind the bright headboard — the dark tone does not weigh down the interior and looks very stylish.
