Domestic production includes liquid, paper, non-woven, vinyl, and other types of wallpapers.

Liquid wallpapers (Ukraine)

Liquid wallpapers are a specific type of wallpaper, a decorative coating for walls and ceilings. This finishing material is a mixture of fibers, which may include cotton, cellulose, silk, and acrylic. Coloring and adhesive additives are also included.

Due to the natural composition of most components, liquid wallpapers are eco-friendly and safe for health. Thanks to their application method, they are suitable for almost all rooms.

They are applied with a trowel and, after drying, form a seamless coating that enhances thermal and acoustic insulation and has a pleasant natural texture.

Liquid wallpapers (Ukraine) in various compositions and colors are produced under brands such as Limil, Stil, Bioplast, and others. Liquid wallpapers (Ukraine), priced from 47 hryvnias per pack in Kyiv and from 300 rubles on average in Moscow (depending on weight and consumption), are an excellent finishing material, comparable to similar mixtures from Russia and Turkey.

Paper wallpapers

Paper wallpapers are one of the most affordable types due to their low durability and unsuitability for cleaning.

For example, they are not recommended for kitchens due to humidity and strong odors. Kitchens can instead be covered with vinyl wallpapers.

However, due to their breathability, natural composition, and health safety, paper wallpapers are gaining increasing popularity in bedrooms and living rooms. Paper wallpapers from Ukrainian manufacturers include Slavyanskie Oboi, offering various duplex wallpapers at affordable prices.

Non-woven wallpapers

Wallpapers made from pure non-woven material—created from pressed and bonded paper and fabric fibers using a special adhesive—are strong and resistant to external factors. They are easy to use, maintain, and install: only the wall needs to be coated with adhesive, and the dry wallpaper is then applied.

Non-woven wallpapers with a vinyl coating are often used for painting due to their strength, allowing multiple repaints. Thanks to this property, house settling does not affect the appearance of walls covered with non-woven wallpapers—cracks are hidden behind them. One of the leading Ukrainian manufacturers of non-woven wallpapers is Sintra, a subsidiary of the German company Rasch, producing wallpapers using the same standards, technologies, and raw materials as the parent company in Germany.

Vinyl wallpapers

Vinyl wallpapers consist of a paper or non-woven base with a vinyl coating that ensures strength, flexibility, and moisture resistance. They can be cleaned with a damp cloth, wiped with a sponge or soft brush. Some types are made from foamed vinyl—lightweight and textured, they effectively cover wall imperfections and do not require special wall preparation.

For high-humidity areas like kitchens or bathrooms, a different type of vinyl wallpaper is made. Rubberized vinyl has higher density, repels water and dirt. Super-washable wallpapers can even be used instead of tiles in bathrooms.

The third type is silk-screen printing or flat vinyl—imitating a silk finish. These wallpapers look luxurious, have a smooth surface, and require properly prepared walls. Among Ukrainian manufacturers who have mastered the production of good-quality vinyl wallpapers, the company Eden stands out, producing wallpapers under the brands Versal and Status.
