Amazing Solutions in a Mini Studio: Wardrobe-Cabinet, Hidden Closet, and Many More Cool Ideas
Cool solutions by the designer
Not long ago, we visited the designer Yana Volkova, who personally arranged her small but very cozy 28 m² apartment.
What impressed us most was the living room. It serves as a working office, wardrobe, relaxation zone, and even a dining area… Let’s go through everything in order.

In one of the sections of a huge wardrobe that spans the entire wall, clothes are stored. The main highlight of the closet is a foldable ironing board in one of the sliding drawers.

For storing books, Yana chose open shelves—just like those in the kitchen. To reach them and the loft, a custom-made ladder on a rail can be used.

Behind the pivot-slide door panel lies a whole workspace. It is separated by partitions and equipped with everything needed for comfortable work. Lighting inside is interestingly arranged—it is built into the shelf and regulated by pressing a tiny button on the side. Unlike a typical office in a separate room, this one can be hidden anytime by simply closing the door and sliding the whole unit back into the cabinet.

The plywood windowsill combines several functions at once. First, its height is carefully chosen to fit a sliding dining table for full meals. Second, there's enough space on the windowsill to accommodate more guests or just relax. Finally, radiators are hidden under the windowsill with magnetic covers for easy access.

In the windowsill area, additional wall lighting in the form of a wall sconce is installed, which can be used as a night light or ambient lighting for the dining zone. In the same corner, sockets are hidden for charging gadgets, allowing you to sit on the windowsill with your phone and a cup of coffee.
