How to Integrate a TV into Interior Design: 8 Unusual Solutions
In the ceiling, on slides, or in a bar counter
These TV placement solutions you haven't seen before in a living room! Let's see how interior designers and homeowners solved the challenge of hiding a TV and zoning small spaces.
1. TV on a Movable Cabinet
During quarantine, Pavel transformed a 45 sq. m small apartment in a typical five-story building into a comfortable and stylish space. One of the budget-friendly and functional ideas was placing the TV. Wheels and a handle were added to the IKEA Fjällbo cabinet. With a light tug on the handle, the cabinet with the TV rotates toward the bedroom zone. To prevent tipping, the TV stand is attached to the cabinet surface. The cabinet itself is fixed to the wall with hinges.

2. TV in a Bar Counter
In a one-room apartment, designer Artemiy Saranin decorated a bar counter with a secret. To watch the TV from both the bedroom and living room, a TV screen was built into the kitchen island. This way, the bar counter became a functional zone divider.

3. TV on a Swivel Mechanism
Designers Anna and Daniil Shepanovich divided the 38 sq. m one-room apartment with a partition wall into living and bedroom zones. Inside this structure, they built in a TV on a swivel mechanism. This way, the apartment owner can watch the TV from the living room sofa or from the bed in the bedroom.

4. TV on a Tripod
Designer Sergey Tregubov had to carefully plan the TV placement in a small 47 sq. m two-room flat in an old building. Corner cabinets didn't fit the design, and hanging it on a hook wasn't desired. In the end, the clients approved a TV model on a tripod.
Due to special interior frames, the TV looks like a painting on an easel. The decorative appearance and airy structure are huge advantages of this model.

5. TV on Rails
The standout feature of the kitchen-living room interior was a mobile TV that can move from the relaxation zone to the dining area. For this, architects from Sivak+Partners mounted a special guide system on open bookshelves. Customers just need to move the TV panel to the desired zone and enjoy watching.

6. TV in the Ceiling
In the design of an apartment in the ЖК “Park Rublevо,” designer Alexei Strellyuk used many non-standard elements. One of them was a ceiling-mounted TV. For this, the living room ceiling was lowered and a ceiling bracket-lift was installed. It allows lifting the TV screen up and hiding it in the ceiling.
A sheet of gypsum board was mounted on the back panel of the bracket. When the bracket is closed, it merges with the ceiling. Thus, the client's wish to hide the TV in the interior was fully satisfied.

7. TV in a Mirrored Panel
In the center of attention in the living room designer Ekaterina Kozlova’s design is a geometric mirrored panel. It visually expands the space and serves as a decorative element. The TV was also integrated into it, which in off mode becomes a mirror and blends with the overall structure.

8. TV in a Copper Wall
Architect Alexandra Fedorova decorated the living room wall with large-format panels made of blackened copper. The TV panel was integrated into them. The designer managed to achieve perfectly aligned joints, a beautiful monolithic structure, and dissolve the TV into the interior.
