Interiors That Inspire Genuine Wonder

We are accustomed to panoramic windows in the living room, bedroom, or kitchen. However, large windows in a bathroom are a bold and unconventional choice. Not everyone is ready to design a bathroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, especially in urban apartments where such an approach is hard to call practical.

But when it comes to country houses with breathtaking views, panoramic windows in the bathroom become a unique highlight. There's nothing better than relaxing after a busy workday while enjoying the sea or picturesque landscapes through the window.

We present ten stylish bathrooms designed precisely for visual delight. Spoiler: inspiration and wonder are guaranteed!

Villa RA, Italy

Villa RA is located on a hillside in Southern Italy. During the project design, the architectural firm MORQ planned large windows in every room, offering a breathtaking view of the Scilla Bay.

The bathroom was no exception: the sink was placed in front of a large square window. The firm notes that using natural materials allowed them to reveal the simple geometry of the building and create a visual and tactile connection between the landscape and architecture.

Preston Hollow House, USA

The American firm Specht Architects designed a spacious concrete house in Dallas. The specialists preferred concrete as a nod to brutalist architecture.

The bathroom was arranged near the bedroom. There are no barriers, but there are incredible panoramic windows: to admire the garden, homeowners don't need to get out of the bathtub. The interior was decorated in light tones, with wood added for warmth, and natural light floods the rooms through the windows — a very successful project.

Cliff House, Scotland

Cliff House is a talented work by the firm Dualchas Architects. The rooms offer a view of Loch Danvegan, and the building stands on the northwestern coast of the Scottish island of Skye.

As in the living room and bedroom, the bathroom features floor-to-ceiling glazing. The windows are located right next to the bathroom so that visitors can enjoy the surrounding landscape during water procedures. The floors are made of concrete, and the walls were finished with light colors. Simple forms, minimal details, and a luxurious view — what more could a dream bathroom need?

Hotel Muraka, Maldives

Hotel Muraka is a private villa on the coast of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island resort. The project was developed by renowned architects Ahmed Salem and Yukio Yamazaki. The team created a true masterpiece: guests can spend the night in a bedroom located right under water — many compare it to an aquarium.

Above sea level, the building has three more bedrooms and a bathroom with a pristine white bathtub offering a view of endless blue waters. The bathroom is an adjacent room located between the living room and the main bedroom. It would be great to book this villa right now!

Leaf House, United Kingdom

The firm Szczepaniak Astridge added a roof extension to the home of an architectural photographer and writer. The main bedroom and bathroom are located here, and the project is filled with unusual solutions.

The center of the room is a wooden bathtub placed directly opposite the panoramic window. From the bedroom, which is combined with the bathroom, one can enjoy a magnificent view of London. There are no barriers or partitions in the space — the bathtub is not separated from the sleeping area. Of course, not everyone would dare to replicate such a design, but that is what makes the design truly unique.

Hotel Saint, Greece

Hotel Saint was built on a cliff with a view of the sea landscapes of Santorini. The firm Kapsimalis Architects created luxurious rooms, which are literally carved into the hillside: from the rooms there is access to a terrace with small pools, but the main feature of many apartments is the view from the bathroom.

The interiors are done in white, and the team once again opted for open spaces — no shower cabins, only trays and elegant glass. The dominant style is minimalism, and some showers allow access to the pool through the window. Real wonders!

Casa em Cunha, Brazil

Casa em Cunha is the work of the team Arquipélago Arquitetos, which can also be called unique. The house is built from compacted earth and bricks from a local pottery workshop: warm tones create an incredible atmosphere.

Inside, near the bedrooms, there are a couple of showers with large windows — they were arranged quite modestly, but the architects made sure every visit to the bathroom is memorable. The calming view of green hills helps.

House 23, USA

The architects from Vondalwig Architecture gave this house a second life: the building was constructed in the distant 1960s and needed renovation. Using wooden cladding and applying traditional Japanese techniques, specialists managed to design magnificent interiors.

One of the highlights was a spacious bathroom with a wooden bathtub in Japanese style: it was built right in front of the window. Now the homeowners can enjoy the green garden and feel complete harmony with nature. As an accent, they chose panels of gray terrazzo tiles — it looks stylish and interesting.

Bruny Island Cabin, Australia

Bruny Island Cabin is an autonomous vacation home located on 40 hectares of land on the island off the coast of Tasmania. The building is surrounded by terraces facing east and west, so the owners can enjoy sunrises and sunsets.

On the western terrace, the firm Maguire + Devin installed an open-air bathtub: in case of bad weather, it can be covered with removable panels. The solution is unusual but very impressive.

Huaira Cabin, Ecuador

This cabin hidden among the green agricultural lands of Ecuador was designed by Diana Salvador and Javier Mera as a quiet, secluded place to reconnect with nature.

To bring the idea to life, a shower was installed in the bathroom with glass walls on three sides — a bold move that allows feeling the connection to the surrounding landscape during water procedures.
