Materials needed:

  • clear string,
  • battery-operated candles,
  • hooks for ceiling.

Use clear string to tie a knot under the flame of conical candles. Tie a loop at the other end and hang from ceiling hooks. If you use candles with remote control and timer, it will definitely surprise your guests!

2. Ghosts

A fun 5-minute activity for the whole family and a stunning Halloween decoration. Make several ghosts of different sizes, and we’ll show you how to do it!

Materials needed:

  • foam polystyrene balls of various sizes;
  • muslin fabric;
  • textile stiffener (you can use PVA glue mixed with water 1:1);
  • black fabric;
  • paper clip;
  • string (or rope) for hanging.

3. Pumpkin Candle Holder

You can use a real #pumpkin or a craft for dining table decoration. You can buy it or make it yourself from a balloon, string, PVA glue, and cardboard. It will take much more time to dry, as it takes over a day for your paper-mâché pumpkin to dry completely.

Materials needed:

  • pumpkin craft;
  • terra cotta colored facade paint;
  • white water-based paint;
  • baking soda;
  • mud.

Mix terra cotta paint with baking soda. The more baking soda you add, the more textured the finish will be. Paint the pumpkin in 2–3 layers, ensuring each layer is fully dry before applying the next.

After it’s completely dry, lightly dampen the indentations with white paint to mimic the look of a weathered clay pot. For this, use any fabric, sponge, brush, or your fingers. Let it dry. Then apply mud all over the pumpkin. Let the mud dry and then wipe the entire pumpkin with a dry cloth until you achieve the desired appearance. Add dry moss and a candle, preferably an LED one.
