3. To make the interior of a one-room apartment as functional as possible, designer Rustam Urazmetov utilized all the window sills. In the bedroom we can see a windowsill that serves two purposes: on one side, it is a desk, and on the other side, a cozy sofa. This solution compensated for the lack of separate furniture pieces.

4. All window sills in this loft studio designed by Alexander Arnholtz are wide. This allowed him not to overthink anything and simply throw a couple of cushions on the chairs to get a comfortable place for relaxation. By the way, there is a desk near the window sill. You can always put a cup of tea, a book or a phone on it and enjoy the view from the window.

5. Another similar solution can be seen in this apartment with panoramic windows. Designer Irina Chistyakova used the entire width of the window block and decorated a cozy sofa. It turned out to be almost a full-sized sleeping area: one can stretch out on it fully. And, of course, sit together and watch the sunset. By the way, Irina placed two narrow bookshelves on both sides of the window.

6. In this project, designer Natalia Preobrazhenskaya provided a soft windowsill in the children's room. Children sometimes also want to be alone and have their own cozy corner where nobody disturbs them. Under the seat, Natalia provided drawers for storage. And around the perimeter of the construction, there were solid surfaces for games and cups of tea with desserts. By the way, the windowsill was painted a bright green color, and the room immediately transformed.

7. In this apartment project, designer Ksenia Strekoza moved away from the concept of a relaxation zone and placed it right on the kitchen windowsill. Why not? Here you can comfortably settle or temporarily put away unnecessary items when cooking. The wide kitchen windowsill can be used as a working surface. A low version like this is the perfect solution for an additional place in case of guests, especially when there are not enough chairs. A stunning column nearby perfectly serves as a coffee table.
