7 Cool Interior Ideas for a Small Bathroom
We talk about corner furniture, wall-mounted fixtures, and proper finishing of a small bathroom
When planning the design of a small bathroom, it's important to consider every detail so that unnecessary elements don't «eat up» space. Keep only what you really need, choose compact furniture and thoughtful finishing.
Choose visually light furniture
Pay attention to models with simple shapes and minimal hardware and accessories. Try to do without a bathtub screen—ornate legs in vintage style will add lightness and won't clutter the space.

Pay attention to finishing
Finish the walls using a single-tone light or neutral shade, or select large-format tiles.
Vibrant accents can be made on one of the walls: painting the furthest wall in a dark color will create a sense of depth. To make the bathroom ceiling look higher and the room more spacious, use tiles all the way to the ceiling.

Fill the corners of the bathroom
Furniture or fixtures placed in a corner take up less space than items standing along the wall. Increase central area of the bathroom by using convenient corner sinks, showers, jacuzzis, shelves or vanities.

Choose wall-mounted furniture and shelves
Fixtures and furniture without legs make the room feel more spacious. Do away with numerous closed cabinets under the sink and switch to lightweight wall-mounted shelves along the walls.

Use reflective surfaces
These can be shower partitions, mirror doors of cabinets, glass countertops or sinks. It's better to hang a large mirror on one of the walls.
The mirror can be accentuated by surrounding it with bright lighting.

Plan storage systems
Use tall shelves to accommodate everything you need in a small bathroom. Finish it in one of the wall niches and leave the shelves open or cover them with curtains.
A light and practical design for a small bathroom is a shelf-ladder: it doesn't take up much space, is mobile and spacious.

Paint the ceiling white
This will visually make the bathroom appear taller. For the floor, it's better to use dark tiles with contrast.
