Gypsum plaster KNAUF
The KNAUF gypsum plaster series includes four types, suitable for both manual and mechanical application.
KNAUF RotbandUniversal gypsum plaster in shades from white to gray (in some cases even slightly pinkish). The color does not affect the material's physical properties. The variation in color is due to natural impurities in the gypsum rock.
This type is used for plastering ceilings and walls with solid base: the mixture can be applied on concrete, brick, cement plaster, polystyrene, and OSB.
KNAUF Rotband is especially recommended for smooth concrete ceilings and walls.
Unlike other plasters of this type, it tolerates moderate humidity, making it suitable for use in bathrooms and kitchens.
Key advantages of KNAUF Rotband include:
- No need for additional leveling after plastering;
- Does not crack even at thick layers;
- Allows a plaster layer up to 50 mm without prior splashing;
- Highly breathable and environmentally clean surface;
- Consumption is nearly half of all other plasters.
Additionally, the versatility claimed by the manufacturer on packaging includes simultaneous plastering and leveling, ability to create decorative elements, and suitability for both repair and restoration work.
Some technical specifications of KNAUF Rotband:
- Recommended layer thickness — 5 to 50 mm;
- Material consumption — 8.5 kg/m² (at 10 mm thickness);
- Complete drying time — 6–7 days;
- Packaging — 5, 10, and 30 kg bags.
