Designer Named Interior Styles That Will Never Go Out of Fashion
A little inspiration for those who haven't decided yet
Pavel Bakhanov, Interior Designer, has been building his career in France for 5 years and owns an interior design studio in Moscow
Interior design, like any field of activity, has been evolving, changing, and acquiring new details for many years. However, the base on which we build modern interiors remains unchanged. That is why I decided to list a few main design styles with their characteristics.
Project of Veronica Cortel Agency
Le Parisien interiors, where you can endlessly search for original rhymes, train your knowledge of history and sense of balance. Here are a few codes worth paying attention to:
- abstract art,
- accentuated architecture,
- gold color,
- antiques,
- modern furniture,
- calm color palette,
- textile.
Project of Eugeniy Zhdanov and Tatiana Kirillova
Shabby chic, or your favorite Provence that doesn't exist. This is definitely for lovers of aged (naturally or artificially) items. Nevertheless, wear and other signs of aging are not necessarily a feature of the shabby chic style, although they appear quite often in such interiors. The main motifs are:
- pastel colors,
- worn furniture,
- natural fabric,
- natural materials.
Project of Tatiana Mantsvetovich
Minimalism is restraint and strictness in decoration. It is mainly achieved through the use of functional interior items, as well as geometric forms and a combination of two basic colors. Pay attention to the key details:
- minimal furniture,
- space zoning,
- lots of white, black accents,
- rough texture of natural materials,
- simple shapes and lines,
- absence of decor and ornament.
Project of Natalia Balashova
There are no excesses here. There is definitely a lot of light, ease, and simplicity. Scandinavians don't chase flashy luxury; they prefer home comfort and atmosphere that includes the following:
- all shades of white,
- abundance of light,
- laconic and functional furniture,
- geometry in decor,
- warm and cozy textile.
Project of Irina Kalezova
Hi-tech is minimalism, ergonomics, modern building materials, and cutting-edge technologies, light, and space. To follow the motto 'Form follows function', you should pay attention to:
- straight, dynamic lines and simple shapes,
- combination of metal, glass, and plastic,
- pragmatism in solutions,
- various lighting scenarios.
It can be said unambiguously that in today's world everything has mixed together. Perhaps this is evolution, but for a successful interior implementation it is necessary to follow fundamental canons, rely on what is close to you personally, and not forget to consult specialists.
