Where to Place a Washing Machine: 9 Ideas from Designers

Where to comfortably place a washing machine so that it blends organically into the interior? We share ideas from designers' projects.
In the niche in the bathroom
Near the cabinet and sink, designers at Lauri Brothers Studio installed a stylish black niche.
It perfectly fit the washing machine, and the countertop above it is used for storing hygiene products.

For this, the designer equipped a special technical cabinet for the washing and drying machines.
The niche was fitted with a sliding door: the structure closes like a wardrobe. A ventilation system was also installed here to prevent overheating of the equipment.

If there is enough space in the bathroom, it's possible to find a place for a niche for washing and drying machines.
In this project, they were placed between the wall and the bathtub, with a towel shelf above.

The designer at Studio "Oсобинка" used a long countertop across the entire wall.
The sink was built into it, and under the countertop, both the washing machine and a spacious cabinet with drawers were installed.

The household area with the washing machine and dryer was placed in a cabinet in the hallway.
Shelves were provided above for storing items. The household module is hidden from view with a door reaching the ceiling.

The designer set up a convenient laundry area in the storage room. Here, both the washing and drying machines were installed.
On the same side, an additional retractable clothes dryer was provided.

The washing machine was moved from the bathroom into the hallway and built into a wall niche.
Here, drawers and shelves were also provided for storing items.

Near the shower, designers left a 60 cm wide niche. It perfectly suited a standard washing machine.
The niche also has many spacious shelves for storing household products and towels.

There wasn't enough space in the small bathroom, so the designer suggested placing the washing machine under the sink.
For this, a special sink with a flat siphon was installed directly above the washing machine.
