Bedroom in a Studio Apartment: 5 Simple Solutions from Our Design Projects
We explain how to find space for a bedroom even in the smallest area
Residents of this studio apartment are a young family with a child. Owners managed to create a full-size two-room flat on just 38 square meters thanks to glass partitions with curtains, behind which the isolated sleeping area is hidden.
When planning space for a bedroom, they chose the darkest corner in the apartment. This is because daylight is needed most for the living room and kitchen.

Open space was a priority for the owner of this studio apartment in Minsk. From here, furniture matches wall color, cabinet fronts and concealed doors.
To avoid adding extra volume or creating a clear geometry, instead of a solid partition, they installed lightweight curtains in wall color. Thanks to the same tone of walls, curtains and furniture, there seems to be no boundaries in the interior. Plus, curtain partitions are cheaper and lighter.

The private sleeping area in this apartment was created using a low partition with a fireplace and TV. Thus, a cozy alcove was formed in the space without any walls, hiding the relaxation zone from all sides.

Multi-functional furniture is an excellent solution when you don't have time or space to think up something new. This happened with the client of this 27-square-meter apartment.
To quickly and without losing space organize a sleeping area, they chose a sofa-bed: by day it's a small sofa, and at night it becomes a full-size bed with a 160 cm wide sleeping area and a quality mattress.

It is also possible to zone the sleeping area using a platform. For example, in this studio apartment, they raised the bedroom on a functional platform, hiding spacious sliding drawers inside it.
To further 'hide' the relaxation zone, a dense curtain was installed next to the bedroom in addition to the decorative partition made of wooden slats.
