House with a convenient layout that you will like
Using this cottage as an example, we explain how to organize space practically. For instance, so that you don't have to pass through the whole house to get to the bathroom, and the bedroom is quiet even if guests are on the kitchen.
This two-story house in the suburbs of Stockholm was built on a modest plot of five ares. To comfortably organize space for a large family, they decided to build a rectangular two-story building and use the basement.

On the first floor, they placed family common areas: a small entrance hall, a spacious kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace. There was also room for a children's bedroom and a guest room with access to the veranda. Another additional room was equipped on the basement floor near the laundry and bathroom.
The second floor accommodates the owners' private room, a study, and a bathroom. There are four bedrooms in total.

Notice how functional zones are arranged relative to the house entrance. For example, the noisy living room and kitchen are near the entrance. While the bedrooms with bathrooms are located deeper inside the house, away from the stairs and entrance hall. This way, children's sleep is not disturbed even during family gatherings.

The interiors in the house are in a classic Scandinavian style: white walls, wooden floors, and minimalism. However, despite the simple decor, there are bright details. For example, a blue sofa and a red designer chest – a great color combination!

On the kitchen, due to white furniture, large windows, and the absence of bulky overhead cabinets above the work surface, designers saved on lighting – there are almost no lamps here. For evening gatherings, a lamp above the table and functional lighting above the countertop is enough.

The bedrooms are spacious, so each has its own storage system: closed and open. This is more convenient than one wardrobe for everyone. To save space, some cabinets and shelves were placed in niches.

But the entrance hall is large. Here it is convenient to leave dirty shoes, hide a stroller at night, or toss a wet umbrella.

The property also has a small utility shed. And a living hedge instead of a fence nicely conceals the house from prying eyes.
