Cozy Scandinavian Apartment with Thoughtful Storage
Convenient kitchen, walk-in closet in the bedroom, and plenty of cabinets and shelves — this apartment offers comfortable living
The apartment is located in Västerås, a suburb of Stockholm, in a small brick house built in 1945. Over the past two years, it has been fully renovated and sold to new owners.
This cozy, bright apartment features a spacious kitchen-living room that opens onto an open balcony with a convenient breakfast table. It also includes a separate bedroom and a children's room, making it an ideal place for a large family.

The walls are painted in light and calm tones: beige in the kitchen-living room, gray in the bedroom, and pink in the children's room. This creates a perfect neutral base for colorful accents. For example, the living room is enhanced with a red bookshelf and a vibrant poster.
Parquet flooring in a warm tone was laid on the floor — it blends well with the walls and will last for many years. Moreover, if children come to live in the house, they can play on the floor and walk barefoot on it.

The kitchen is designed as simple and practical as possible — it allows preparing any dish without worrying about staining surfaces. For countertops, durable and beautiful material like limestone was chosen. The same material is slightly raised on the wall to protect the painted surface from splashes.
It also includes all necessary appliances: oven and induction cooktop, refrigerator and dishwasher, as well as a powerful range hood. New owners can easily add decorative items if needed.

The living spaces are cozy and functional — each room has sleeping and working areas. Storage solutions were also provided: a spacious wardrobe in the children's room and an open closet system in the bedroom. The closet was covered with gray fabric, and the windows were similarly draped with curtains.

The bathroom was also designed to be bright, with white tiles on the walls and floor. The room even has a window that lets in natural light — enhancing the overall effect. The washing machine and dryer are also located here.
The entrance hall also features a wardrobe and an open coat rack. The result is practical — this apartment offers convenient living.
