Wow Effect on the Kitchen: 14 Ways to Surprise
It might seem like there's nothing new to add to the kitchen. How can we technologically and functionally improve it? You'll be surprised — there's a lot.
Voice-controlled switches or household appliances with their own mobile app have become a familiar part of our lives. It's hard to imagine life without these devices: how to grind and brew coffee, heat and froth milk... So many manipulations just to make a regular latte? There's a modern coffee machine at home! With smart appliances, we no longer think about how much time and nerves we save.
Search for various ways to increase our comfort and save time is not only the focus of appliance and electronics manufacturers. For example, the largest kitchen furniture manufacturer Nolte Küchen approaches this issue with German precision.
So what is modern, technologically advanced and functional kitchen furniture? We explain.
Adjustable-height worktop
The recommended height of the working surface on the kitchen now belongs to the past. How can you average comfort? Even members of one family may differ in height by 20, 30 or even 50 cm. How to choose a universal height of the worktop that would be convenient for everyone? It's impossible.

Or is it possible? If the working surface adapts to each person's needs. The Nolte Küchen engineers introduced this new kitchen island in 2020: just press the button on the side, and the work surface will rise or lower to a comfortable height for you.
Railing Lighting
How convenient: a neat railing along the entire length of upper cabinets, with built-in lighting. No extra fittings on the wall or problems with hanging wires. And most importantly, stylish and minimalist.

Dishwasher - on top
Yes, not as usual — in a separate box in the lower row of kitchen cabinets, but on top. With Nolte Küchen, installing a dishwasher is possible above a spacious drawer or even two. This solution will especially appeal to owners of small kitchens.

Socket Flippers
This familiar problem: during renovation, the number and placement of sockets for small household appliances were not planned properly, and they're constantly insufficient. Should we drill new holes in the wall? And sockets on the wall, for example, in a minimalist interior, look out of place.
Nolte Küchen has an elegant and modern solution — a socket panel hidden in the worktop. If needed, just press it — the panel flips over and the sockets are ready for use.

Rounded Corner Drawer
Usually, in corner sections, large dishes or household appliances that are used infrequently are stored — access to them is very inconvenient.
Nolte Küchen solved this problem. In the Soft Lack and Nova Lack models, upper and lower corner sections can be finished without handles, with rounded worktops and fronts. Inside — a 360-degree rotating carousel organizer. You can safely store coffee mugs there, as they are easy to reach.
Blinds Door
On small kitchens, any opportunity for additional storage is used — for example, a niche in the wall or a narrow cabinet-column in the corner. Often such shelves are left open because there's no space for classic door opening.
For such cases, Nolte Küchen developed blinds doors — convenient and lightweight. Also, no problems with various jars, spices and grains that need to be carefully arranged on open shelves to avoid chaos — just close the blinds and everything is fine.

Matryoshka Drawers
Sometimes three small sliding drawers are more useful than one large one, but what to do if it ruins the appearance of the kitchen cabinet?
Install several additional sections inside one sliding front. You can open them all at once or separately — each drawer has a clip for this. The top compartment, which can be used for storing tableware, is attached to the front with a clip. Below there is space for storing items you use less often. If access to the bottom compartment is needed, just detach the clips from the top drawers. It's so intuitive that you can do it with one movement.

Automatic Door
This often happens: you're holding a stack of plates that need to be placed on the upper shelf, but the cabinet door is closed.
Now this isn't a problem: just press the front panel with your elbow or the back of your hand — it will smoothly open. To close it, just press the button.

Sliding Worktop
Even if you have a small family and don't cook often, there are moments when the kitchen is too crowded. The work surface of the worktop suddenly needs to be used by everyone. To avoid arguments with family members, Nolte Küchen thoughtfully provided an additional sliding section — for example, quickly chop vegetables for a salad or brew tea.

Mirror Base
It might seem like a whim, but if you are the owner of dark kitchen fronts or a small kitchen, this solution will visually lighten and expand the space. Combined with lighting, it creates an effect of 'floating' furniture — very beautiful!

Kitchen Modules for the Living Room Zone
If you are the owner of a studio apartment or a small one-bedroom flat, kitchen elements from Nolte Küchen can be used to create a smooth transition from the kitchen to the living room. Lower bases are perfect for a relaxation zone, while still maintaining their primary function — a place for storage.

Steel Fronts
These brutal fronts in a loft style contain metal chips, and are coated with a protective layer of lacquer on top. Therefore, they are not only practical — fronts don't fear scratches or small chips — but you can also mount memorabilia notes, recipes or create a whole photo gallery on them.

Corner Sections
In standard-sized drawer configurations in kitchen cabinets, small unfilled spaces often remain, including near door frames or next to windows. But losing even such a modest area is a pity.
Nolte Küchen thoughtfully designed narrow sections — just right for wine glasses, tea cups or spices. When the corner door is closed, the section becomes one with the main front — and nothing extra is visible.
Open Fronts
An appropriate solution for studio apartments or spaces with a shared kitchen-living room area: to hide household appliances, shelves with dishes and other kitchen utensils, they can be closed with entire fronts that match the main furniture or decorative finishing. Must-have for minimalist interiors.
