5 situations when a combined bathroom is necessary

We explain in which cases and why you should make a combined bathroom — and how to implement this solution best

Perhaps the only case where you will definitely need a separate bathroom is if a large family lives in the apartment. In all other cases, combining the bathroom and toilet should be considered. Sometimes this solution may be the most optimal.

Important: the demolition of the partition must be coordinated.

You have a small apartment or you want to fit a jacuzzi, washing machine and possibly even a shower cabin in the bathroom.

The most obvious advantage of combining the bathroom is space savings. Sometimes this solution will even allow installing a hydro-massage bathtub or, in addition to a regular one, a shower cabin. It's also a great idea for those who dream of a stylish freestanding bathtub. And it's also an excellent idea if you want to allocate more space for storage.

Shower enclosure Twin Slide 90 with an acrylic tray

A shower enclosure instead of a cabin looks more neat — perfect for a small bathroom.

Wall cabinet

Will allow very compact storage organization. We like the model in the color "Walnut" — eco-design in trend!

You need to radically change the layout of the bathroom

According to ergonomics, the optimal distance from the toilet to the wall or door is at least 60 cm, and the minimum width of the toilet is 70 cm. However, not all apartments meet these standards. By combining the bathroom and toilet, you can rotate the toilet or bathtub to make usage more convenient or visually balance the proportions of the room.

And sometimes, with high ceilings, small area rooms seem like "wells" — in this case, removing the partition can also help make the bathroom proportionate.

Installation keys "under chrome" will suit almost any stylistic solution. In the AM.PM brand collection, such options are available in matte and glossy variants.

Suspended toilet FlashClean

A compact designer solution: it will fit perfectly into a bathroom of any size thanks to its projection of 49 cm, and hidden fasteners and perfect fit to the wall will ensure design cleanliness.

You want to save on finishing materials in the future

By removing the partition, you immediately "remove" two additional surfaces: one side from the bathroom and one from the toilet — so you will need significantly less tiles (paint, wallpaper), and only one door needs to be installed, and the work of the crew will cost less.

Of course, the demolition itself is an additional expense, but in the long run, updating the renovation will be much cheaper.

Basin base,
120 cm

Saving budget and space, you can allow yourself to spend a little more on furniture and plumbing fixtures: for example, install a cabinet with two basins — this is convenient for families with small children.

Or pay attention to a wall-mounted mixer with a thermostat: it quickly responds to changes in temperature or pressure in the water supply network — no risk of scalding even during a sudden cold water outage.

You require a unified water supply system with convenient access

In a combined bathroom, you can implement a simplified plumbing layout: all nodes can be arranged as you prefer. And yes, there's no need to crawl under the bathtub with a flashlight to read the meter.

You would suit:

ShowerSpot

Make plumbing and mixers part of the design. For example, such a system with a handheld and overhead shower is not only functional but also looks very stylish.

Basin mixer

A mixer of a distinctive shape in the dynamic organic style, wall-mounted, will fit perfectly into a bathroom in modern or minimalist style.

You are demanding about cleanliness, and you cannot install a sink, bidet or hygienic shower in the toilet

Either there is simply not enough space in the toilet even for a very compact sink, or technically it is impossible (or too costly in terms of time and resources) to connect the water supply to it — there can be many reasons. By combining the toilet and bathroom, you solve all these problems.

Suspended bidet

Just like the suspended toilet, such a bidet will take up less space and not visually overload the interior.

Electronic lid-bidet Clean Care

Installed on a suspended toilet. An ideal solution and excellent alternative to a hygienic shower: three modes, individual adjustment of water temperature, fan, seat surface, as well as position and power of the nozzle.
