How to Fix Tight Layout and Add Colors and Moods

The apartment owner was tired of the tight layout and wanted more light and color in the interior. Designers redesigned the familiar layout, focused on bohemian chic, and did not forget about comfort.

Green shades are gradually becoming as classic as beige, white, and gray. In this interior, designers at Vered Bonfiglioli Studio focused on a cool gray-green tone. According to the RAL color standard, this shade can be classified as number 7009, Feldgrau.

It is deep and ambiguous: depending on lighting, its perception can shift from blue to gray. It also pairs beautifully with a trendy pale pink shade. Designers chose to play on the contrast between cool and warm, harsh and gentle tones.

The apartment is located in the Israeli city of Givatayim, with a total area of 73 square meters. There was enough space for a spacious living room that smoothly flows into the kitchen. The centerpiece here is a sofa covered in soft pink velvet. The color palette was completed with a white Kartell chair and a gray velvet ottoman.

Functional zones were not forgotten either. A desk was placed against the free wall, and a TV was positioned on a column that remained between the living room and the kitchen after the redesign.

Instead of a traditional ceiling-mounted coat rack, a black metal stand was hung from the ceiling at the entrance. A glass cabinet was placed nearby to store the apartment owners' magazine collection.

In the hallway, there were storage units: a bookcase and a utility cabinet housing the washing machine and dryer.

To soften the cold tones and strict forms, designers added more living plants, textiles, and even macramé. The kitchen featured a panoramic window, creating a cozy relaxation area with numerous plants and a small bed.

For the bedroom, a contrasting warm terracotta tone was chosen, which was also used in the bathroom design.

The combination of cool gray-green and soft terracotta worked well for both colors. Designers successfully created a balance between opposites in the interior and stayed true to the client's wishes. The result was not a polished catalog-style interior but a stylish apartment where one can live comfortably and warmly.
