How to Organize Your Balcony: 3 Tips
After a long winter, the balcony often turns into a garage: everything is cluttered with tools, garden equipment, and even spare tires. How to quickly organize it? We find out together with Leroy Merlin experts.
Hide Extra Items
Car wheels can be mounted on wall brackets high above the ceiling: this saves space. At the same time, the bracket itself is easy to fold and store flush against the wall.
Canned goods on the floor only collect dust: they can be hidden in small wooden boxes. For tools and other small items, identical plastic containers and boxes will do, which are convenient to store on shelves.

If there are free walls on the balcony without windows, install a modular storage system. It can include shelves, boxes, hooks, hanging baskets, and railings.

Create a Relaxation Zone
The easiest way is to mount a fold-down table to the wall — it takes up almost no space. Instead of regular chairs, lightweight folding ones that can be stored away when needed will do. If there's no room for seating, hang a hammock.
Cozy touches include LED string lights with warm white light, decorative cushions with bright covers, throws, and lantern-style lamps.

Set Up a Mini-Garden
Usually pots take up a lot of space, and vertical storage systems help save space. For small plants like succulents and fuchsias, compact shelves no wider than 30 cm will work. For pots with plants like ficus, more space is needed: shelves at least 38 cm wide will do.
If you're planning a large seedling area, buy a shelving system or a ladder-shelf.

By the way, pots with flowers can be hung from the ceiling on ropes. Or a trellis can be mounted on the wall and flowerpots attached using S-shaped hooks.
Another good option is a cabinet-greenhouse. Plants will not be cold, and for young seedlings, you can install grow lights. For plants on shelves, linear models will work, and a table lamp is enough for lighting a small area.
