Thanks to a small reconfiguration, the tiny apartment was transformed into a functional space. The designer only needed three steps for this.

Recently, we told the story of the interior of this studio in a modern style. Designer Alena Eremenko created a comfortable space for a young client and found room for a small bedroom, living room, and spacious storage systems on just 35 square meters. We tell you how it was done.

And got rid of the narrow dark corridor — more open space was created, and natural light now enters the entrance hall from the window.

Additionally, a storage area was created at the entrance to the living room. The built-in cabinet was closed with sliding blinds doors — here books and documents will be stored.

In the living room, a living area and a small bedroom were created. A rafter partition helped divide the space into zones. It allows enough natural light to pass through and hides the bedroom from outsiders. Because the partition does not fully close off the sleeping area, the tiny space does not feel cramped.

Expanded the bathroom

The space was expanded by 250 mm towards the corridor to accommodate all necessary items, including a utility cabinet. There was enough room for a washing machine and laundry basket, as well as all household chemicals.
