What the Hotel in Norway Looks Like with Rooms for 50,000 Rubles Per Night
The boutique hotel Storfjord Hotel consists of a complex of traditional Norwegian log cabins. These wonderful cottages are scattered along the coast of Norway in the village of Glomset. A night in such a cabin with a private terrace and panoramic view will cost 50,000 rubles. The journey from Oslo to the village of fjords by car takes about six hours, but there are shorter routes too — via ferries and helicopters.

The cabins of the complex are hand-assembled wooden cottages in traditional Norwegian "loft" style, or more precisely, "lafette". This term refers to a log that has a flat side (inside the house) and a convex side (outside the house). The roofs of the cottages are covered with real grass, making the hotel blend perfectly with the landscape.

The main concept of the hotel is to make the stay comfortable and cozy, like at home. This idea is reflected in the interiors as well. The layout in the cabins is open-plan — kitchen and living room are combined. This space brings people closer together.

Various antiques enhance the Scandinavian atmosphere: coffee tables made from old chests, traditional Norwegian fur blankets, and authentic woven baskets that seem to be placed here for berry picking in the forest.

Real log fireplaces are installed in each living room, and sometimes even in bedrooms. The warmth is enhanced by aromatic firewood for burning and traditional textiles: carpets, throws, and famous checkered curtains.

Bedrooms are cozy home-like spaces with dark wood finishes. Here you can sleep all day! But it’s a pity: you would rather enjoy the peaceful view from panoramic windows without taking your eyes off them.

Bathrooms in the house are very minimalist. But at first glance, they look simple: there are many details, but none distract from relaxation.

The highlight of the hotel is the terraces attached to each cabin. From there, you get a breathtaking view of snow-capped peaks, and the peaceful surroundings make you feel as if your head is spinning.
