10 Kitchens for Capricious Individuals

This page is also available in the following languages:🇷🇺🇺🇦🇫🇷🇩🇪🇪🇸🇵🇱🇨🇳
We've collected kitchens from our designers' projects, in which they had to fulfill all of the clients' whims — from complete exclusion of decoration to using materials with eco-certificates

According to statistics, we spend most of our time on the kitchen. No wonder designers pay special attention to this area — the kitchen should match our taste, be convenient and functional, and also create an atmosphere of maximum comfort. In this post, we've gathered ten kitchens that their owners are rightly proud of.

Sunny Kitchen-Dining Room

This kitchen has everything the clients dreamed of and even a bit more.

The kitchen area is only five square meters, but it has everything the client requested: a tall refrigerator and separate freezer, two ovens, and a large work surface.

A bar counter separates the cooking zone from the living room. The backsplash was made from a single sheet with a beautiful natural stone pattern — this helped avoid fragmentation and unite the space.

"Copper adds a touch of rich yellow to the calm pearl color of the kitchen," — the project author explains.

Brutal Colors and No Decoration

Freshness and modernity to the interior are provided by using chrome-plated metal structures.

The owner of this apartment wanted a calm and relaxing atmosphere in muted tones without decoration. For the kitchen cabinet fronts, they chose wood in gray and brown shades, and for the backsplash and countertop, they selected black marble that the client loves.

This combination of textures — the stone pattern with veins and the clean lines of wood — allowed for visual zoning of the space. In addition, a bar counter with vertical columns also divides the kitchen and living room.

Harmony for Designers

Design is about comfort, so the approach to trends in interior design should always be very individual. In the decoration of the kitchen in his own apartment, architect Pavel Zheleznov made a bet on white finishes and light base furniture. All items are carefully selected and look very harmonious.

Due to the glossy cabinet fronts and lack of handles, it was possible to design a kitchen cabinet that blends into the wall and creates an illusion of a space filled with air.

A wooden antique bench is a fresh and unusual solution. And very cozy — your hand instinctively reaches for a cup of coffee. On the kitchen, items and furniture of different styles and eras are mixed. The main thing is that the kitchen interior should please its owner.

Vibrant Eclecticism

After talking with the clients, we understood that their mood and positive associations fit perfectly into the Provence style.

The clients wanted a vibrant interior that reflects their lifestyle and hobbies. The couple was ready for experiments and trusted the designers.

During the work on the interior, a style emerged that was eclectic, including the kitchen: bright art objects mixed with elements of the Provence style and classic bone-colored kitchen fronts.

Kitchen from Natural Materials

The project concept was developed based on the principles of conscious eco-friendliness.

The kitchen cabinet is made from natural wood, the kitchen backsplash from marble, and the countertop and bar counter from stone. According to the client's requirements, all materials are certified according to eco-standards.

Due to the sky-blue-white combination of cabinet fronts, the kitchen-dining room interior became light and neutral.

"The project concept was developed based on the principles of conscious eco-friendliness," says the designer. "It's not about eco-style, but much deeper — rather, it's a lifestyle approach".

The designer applied the golden ratio principle, which helps mathematically calculate an intuitively harmonious and proportional interior that pleased all household members. According to Olesya Fedorenko, blue softens the textures of stone and metal and adds coziness. Comfort and nothing extra

Plenty of light and maximum functionality — the main wishes of the client, and they are fully implemented.

The owner of this apartment is a fan of Scandinavian style, so the designer had no doubts about the kitchen decoration. Oxana made a bet on an abundance of natural wood, and when choosing kitchen furniture, she followed the principle: "convenient and functional". No dramatic forms here: white glossy fronts and no hardware or decoration.

The designer provided several lighting scenarios: there is the main light from built-in spotlights and working light provided by stylish chandeliers above the dining area.

Monochrome Comfort

Special attention was paid to the design of the furniture. The shape of the carved supports of the bar counter is repeated in the elements of the dining table — this emphasizes the unity of style.

A strict palette of walls and cabinet fronts, natural stone in finishing, original light fixtures that immediately draw attention — this minimalist kitchen-dining room will definitely not seem lifeless or boring.

To make the interior meet the wishes of a young bachelor, the designer preserved maximum space and lightness.

The relaxation zone with a spacious corner sofa comfortably adjoins the bar counter — for parties with friends, it's hard to imagine anything better. The kitchen is separated from the living room only by a sliding glass partition, and if desired, the kitchen can be isolated.

"Masculine" Kitchen for Mom with Daughter

It's nice when the client knows exactly what they want, and these wishes coincide with the designer's preferences.

To create a comfortable space for the client, Maria Puzanova focused on functionality. It's hard to believe that this restrained and slightly brutal interior is intended for a mom with a little daughter. But the client likes such interiors: "masculine" in style and content.

"For the kitchen cabinets, we used Nolte fronts in concrete combined with white gloss," Maria explains. The kitchen turned out to be spacious. According to the client's wishes, it was equipped with pull-out drawers, and a laundry system was hidden in one of the cabinets.

Art Deco in Complex Tones

The housewife wanted an interior in a calm color palette: I suggested stopping at the shades of taupe — soft gray-brown.

Nadezhda Kapper took the complex gray-brown shades in finishing as a basis, warm gray gloss on kitchen cabinet fronts, and diluted them with textured decor and bright details.

The main accent in the kitchen zone was made as an art deco panel that decorated the load-bearing column — it can be seen from the entrance door. Following it, she added shiny light fixtures, a backsplash made of glass tiles, a crystal chandelier, and paintings — the interior was filled with life.

Kitchen in Porsche Style

Just say Porsche, and everyone understands that it's elegance, speed, and perfect quality.

The designers conceived an ambitious project: to create for the client, a big fan of German car brand, an interior that would reflect her ideology.

"Just like the creators of Porsche, we did everything so that our client would feel aesthetics and comfort," says one of the studio founders, designer Sergey Bakharev.

In the kitchen cabinet, natural textures and urban materials are harmoniously combined: gloss and solid wood cabinet fronts, concrete on the kitchen backsplash, stone countertop, and steel.
