Updating Textiles
A simple and quick way to transform the interior, add new colors and New Year warmth is to put decorative cushions in themed prints.
If snowflake and reindeer images have become boring, choose shiny textiles and velvet — these fabrics always look festive and stylish. Or embroider sequins onto cushion covers.

You will need: Decorative cushion "New Year-6", Leroy Merlin; Decorative cushion "Manchester", Leroy Merlin; Decorative cushion "New Year-7", Leroy Merlin
Decorating the Christmas Tree with Cards and Photos
Any kind of cards will do: vintage and black-and-white cards can set the right, festive mood. It’s good if all of them are about the same size and the photos are pre-glued to thick cardboard so they don’t get damaged.

You will need: Card set "Europe", Leroy Merlin; Garland "Golden Vine", Leroy Merlin; Figurine "Father Frost", Leroy Merlin
Decorating the Window
Create a small New Year’s show at the windows: draw snowflakes, stars or angel figures on cardboard using ready-made stencils, cut them out and hang them from the window sill. Natural air circulation will keep the decoration always in motion. If you don’t have time? Help is at hand — ready-made sets and thematic stickers are available.

You will need: New Year window decoration "Grandpa with a List", Leroy Merlin; Decoration "Snowflake", Leroy Merlin; 3D stickers "Snowflakes", Leroy Merlin
Painting Natural Materials
Dip pre-washed and dried branches, pinecones or acorns into containers with alkyd paint and let them dry for a day. You can use an aerosol can, acrylic paint or gouache. Painted materials can be dusted with glitter or salt if a more expressive effect is desired.
Weave the finished décor into New Year wreaths or garlands, or scatter them on the table and windowsill.
You will need: Red garland, Leroy Merlin; Christmas decoration "New Year Carnival", Leroy Merlin; Christmas ball with New Year wishes inside, Leroy Merlin
Making Unusual Candleholders
Prepare a clear glass bottle, fill it with water, place some eucalyptus branches inside and secure tall candles in the neck of the bottle — a designer candleholder is ready!
Instead of eucalyptus, you can use pine branches or bright winter berries like rowan, cranberry or holly.

You will need: Candle set "Antique Red", Leroy Merlin; Candle set "Silver", Leroy Merlin; Candle set "Gold", Leroy Merlin
Wrapping Gifts Uniquely
The formula for the perfect New Year wrapping is neutral-toned wrapping paper plus unusual decoration.
As a final touch, use textured cork paper: cut out New Year symbols from it and attach them to the package with glue or a stapler. Another great idea is cozy decor using colorful fluffy pom-poms. And of course, pine branches or dried flowers — a time-tested solution.
You will need: Kraft packaging paper, Leroy Merlin; New Year bag "Retro Clocks", Leroy Merlin; Packaging paper, Leroy Merlin
Drawing a Fireplace
A fireplace or stove isn’t found in every home. But it’s not a problem if you have a chalkboard or a wall painted with chalk paint.
Draw a fireplace with colored chalks and hang stockings filled with sweets around it. The crackling logs can easily be replaced with electric garlands.

Or a whole New Year story!
Why not, if the chalkboard wall is big enough. Especially fun to do with a large group: you’ll never guess what characters will fill the fairy-tale plot!

You will need: Chalkboard "Bear", Leroy Merlin; Decoration "Stocking with a String", Leroy Merlin; Chalkboard "Hut", Leroy Merlin
Baking Gingerbread Cookies
The main thing is not to eat them all at once: just like colorful pinecones, traditional gingerbread people are great for decorating a New Year wreath or handmade garlands. Even when just sitting in a glass jar, such cookies serve as decoration.
You will need: Garland "Pine", Leroy Merlin; Hanging New Year decoration, Leroy Merlin; LED garland "Hearts" with 40 lights, Leroy Merlin
Serving the Table
New Year décor, pinecones, Christmas ornaments, candy and anything else within reach should be placed between plates and cups. Even if it’s still a long way to New Year, every lunch or dinner at such an elegant table will be a little magical.

You will need: New Year decoration "Table Basket", Leroy Merlin; New Year candleholder, Leroy Merlin; Garland "Snow-covered with Pinecones", Leroy Merlin
Weaving New Year Wreaths
Trendy are asymmetrical, woven wreaths that are about halfway done. However, traditional dense wreaths with plenty of decoration and shimmering balls are also in style.
If you have little children at home, try making a edible wreath, for example, from gingerbread or gingerbread cookies. Hang it on the front door so that neighbors know you’re having a real holiday at home.
You will need: Wreath "Kremlin", Leroy Merlin; Artificial Snow, Leroy Merlin; Golden Bracelets, Leroy Merlin
