And Bring a Designer's Work to "No"
Olesya Paramonova talks about the main taboos in design — if you want to live in a stylish interior, you'll have to say goodbye to them.

Too Bright Colors

Try to choose either pastel shades or deep, complex colors for the interior. When selecting wallpapers, avoid excessive shine — matte finishes look much more advantageously and expensively.

Cheap Hardware

Even the cheapest furniture can look noble — all you need is to replace the hardware. The same applies to door handles and towel hooks. Do not use plastic hooks and other accessories — with them, the interior will immediately look cheaper than it actually is.

Plastic Molding

Small plastic moldings, cut at 45 degrees, ruin even a luxurious renovation. Choose polyurethane, MDF, wooden or metal flat tall moldings: they add graphic clarity. Moreover, polyurethane moldings can be painted to match wall color — this visually increases ceiling height.

Poor Quality Tiles

If you can't afford tiles from European manufacturers, look up their current trends — and find equivalents from Russian, Ukrainian or Belarusian suppliers. It's better not to use mosaic tiles made of ceramic tiles — their time has passed.

Overlay Thresholds

Instead of overlay thresholds at the junctions of floor coverings, use metal profiles, cork compensators or sealant. They make the transition less visually sharp and prevent you from tripping while moving around the apartment.
