Small Apartment in Stockholm with Black Bedroom
A two-room apartment of 47 square meters with a kitchen that opens into the living room and a bare wall made of loft terracotta brick – such were the initial conditions for decorating Swedish decorator and interior stylist Anna Furbaken.

As in her previous works, Anna Furbaken's professional style is clearly visible in this project: tactile materials, stylish lighting fixtures, and polar contrasts in a monochrome color palette – from super-white to coal-black shades.
However, color and decoration are just the cherry on top. The most important thing to note in this apartment is how skillfully every square centimeter of space has been utilized.

Since the apartment can only be accessed through the kitchen, which in turn is combined with the living room, three zones are concentrated in one space that smoothly blend into each other.
Only the improvised entryway is isolated: it was separated from the living space using partitions and equipped with a shoe cabinet and floor-standing coat rack.

The bedroom was given a curved narrow and rather useless «extension». To avoid spoiling the external appearance of the room, Anna hid it behind heavy curtains.
The stylish semi-darkness in the bedroom, achieved using black-painted walls and bed linens, table lamps, and a carpet matching the wall color, is softened by a built-in wardrobe and a small white space above it – another sleeping area. It was organized by making good use of the high ceiling and empty attic spaces. Thanks to effective color use, the resulting space looks like a micro-room.

In addition to the wardrobe in the bedroom, many built-in wardrobes and shelves are seamlessly integrated into the corridor space. This way, all storage is organized in one place at the center of the apartment near the bathroom. Very convenient, isn't it?
