Adding expressiveness to a space in gray tones can be achieved not only through contrast and textured materials, but also by properly working with form. Every design element found its place in this interior.

The layout of a four-room apartment with an area of 111 square meters in the center of Stockholm is conventionally divided into two zones. On one side of the corridor with two bathrooms and walk-in closets are the bedroom and children's room, on the other side - the common area with a kitchen, dining room, and spacious living room. You can get to the balcony through the bedroom, which, as is common in old buildings, opens into an inner courtyard.

One of the children's rooms has a rather inconvenient shape, so shelves were placed on the "winding" wall, and especially crooked sections were draped with dense fabric. At the same time, the children's room received a good bonus in the form of an additional corridor with a door. It allows isolating rooms from unnecessary noise when entering and exiting the apartment.

The furniture and decor were handled by designers from the Swedish studio Design Therapy. Their specialty is interiors in a palette of gray shades of varying lightness: from dark graphite to almost white. As you can see, this apartment also follows the same approach.

Notably, the apartment was decorated in collaboration with the Swedish brand Asplund. It not only develops design for its own furniture, lighting, and accessories collections but also serves as a concept store that gathers items with similar stylistic elements.

Therefore, in addition to tables with round bases and Asplund-designed accessories, the living room and children's room featured semi-circular table lamps Gatto by Flos, a graceful Vertigo chandelier by Petite Friture in the corridor, and chairs designed by Berge Mogensen in the dining room. The balcony was also adorned with Danish HAY and IKEA chairs.

This interior was created thanks to various textured items with expressive forms against a subdued gray-white palette. Of course, plants were not omitted – Design Therapy prefers glossy green leaves of ficus trees. However, they suit any interior.
