What was interesting shown at the iSaloni WorldWide Moscow 2017 exhibition

As part of the iSaloni Worldwide Moscow exhibition dedicated to interiors and design, an annual competition for young designers SaloneSatellite is held. We have selected 10 great projects from this year.

Moon Bathroom Furniture – 1st Place

Alexandra Fedotova designed functional and convenient bathroom furniture and accessories that suit people of different heights and ages and look great in interior design.

Perception Tableware – 2nd Place

The goal of Valeria Sergienko's project is to unite people with nature through design and reduce the negative impact of humans on the environment. Typical waste such as leather, paper, plastic, foam, and glass is recycled into materials for cups.

Hardware and Tiles "Magnetic Storm" – 3rd Place

Project author Nikolay Gryaznev works as a finishing master, which inspired him to create an original technology for producing design objects. Furniture hardware and decorative tiles are made from leftover polyurethane lacquer compositions. The resulting products are very durable and have a unique texture.

Clock "Light" – Special Prize

Time on the clock by Ekaterina Khomiyuk is shown with light that passes through holes shaped like numbers, which move in a circle. Another version of the clock features animal images instead of numbers – suitable for children.

Brahma Chair for Meditation

Designer Ilya Legchatyov created a chair for long sitting in the lotus position. The project author has practiced yoga for over 10 years. The frame is made from bent plywood, and the upholstery is natural wool. The chair looks stylish and fits perfectly into a modern interior.

Plex Lamp

Either a jellyfish, tulip, or rocket – Plex Lamp by Elena Perminova can evoke various associations. Its ribs, crossbars, and interweaves cast whimsical shadows and transform the space.

Ol In Chair Stool

A stylish stool with a rotating seat designed by student Ekaterina Kalugina from Stroganov Institute can also be used as a convenient storage system. It is available in two sizes: for adults and children.

"Three Graces" Lamp

Three elegant female figures support a sphere made of frosted glass, symbolizing the Earth. According to designer Anastasia Yakovleva, the lamp is ideal for a bedroom – it provides soft and soothing diffused light.

Child Construction Set "Build a House"

We all loved building houses from pillows, blankets, and other available materials as children. Sophia Markova simplified this task for modern kids by offering a construction set made from safe and eco-friendly material – cellular cardboard. Its parts are very lightweight, so even the youngest builders can handle it despite the impressive size (the house height is 1.5 meters).

Ice-boat Chair

The concept of Angelina Tsulyupa is inspired by the image of a child's ice skate. The seat and backrest are made from bent metal. Sitting on such a chair, you can slightly lean back – the backrest provides slight cushioning. Using different covers, you can change the appearance of the stool.
